Room Sleeps : 3-4, king size bed with pull-out sleep sofa.

Please Rate The Following On A Scale From 1-10 (10 being the best):

Theming: 6
Room Size: 8
Amenities: 8
Quality: 9
Cleanliness: 9
Transportation: NA, didn't use had our own car.
Recreation: 7
Value: 8

Over All Rating: 9

Don't Miss: How close hotel is to WDW and to local area attractions.

Room Location Suggestion: Room 1605, 16th floor balcony allowed view of WDW fireworks.

The Mouse For Less Tip: Has amenities that higher priced hotels have at a more affordable price as well as packages available.

Comments: The hotel website has packages available that make your stay more affordable. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms are very large and clean. When we asked for extra towels housekeeping was up immediately to our room to deliver them.

Resort: Hotel Royal Plaza on Hotel Plaza Blvd in Downtown Disney

Date Of Stay: Aug 17-19, 2003

Type Of Resort: Downtown Disney Resort

Rate Paid During Your Stay: $50 per night plus $7 resort I got this rate off of mousesavers and it is the "mousesavers rate" when you call

Room Sleeps : 5

Please Rate The Following On A Scale From 1-10 (10 being the best):

Theming: 3 There is no "theming" it is a basic hotel room.
Room Size: 3 - It was small...five is quite a stretch even if one is a baby! I would only recommend 2 or 3 max.
Amenities: 5 They did have Bath and Body Works products, but at $7 resort fee, I can bring my own. There was a pool and an outside bar, but nothing for children.
Quality: 5 They have a huge high rise hotel and then an off shoot type of wing. We got the wing. I think it MAY have been due to the great rate we had. It is really a very nice hotel, but this "wing" really lacked in the quality of the rest of the hotel.
Cleanliness: 9 Very clean.
Transportation: 7 - A bus shuttle. My sister used it and it was okay.
Recreation: 3 - Just a pool
Value: 3-4

Over All Rating: 5 It was close to the theme parks, but I was not impressed.

Don't Miss:

Room Location Suggestion: If you do decide to stay here, I think that getting a room in the main part of the hotel would be better. Not only was this "wing" inferior to the rest of the hotel, the walk from the elevator can be VERY long. If you get this wing, request something closer to the elevator.

The Mouse For Less Tip: at $70/night (a mousesavers.com price) this was a great value

Comments: At this rate, when you figure the resort fee and all, I would not stay here again unless there was an even better rate. I have found better hotels on 192 for this rate. Again, it may be because of the wing we were put in. At the price they usually charge, I would rather stay somewhere else.

My parents air conditioner leaked all over the floor (they are in the ceiling in that part of the hotel) and when they phoned about it they were told it was the roof leaking!!

Also, we were in a non smoking room but there were smokers on the same floor and the halls smelled real smokey all the time.

I don't mean to sound negative, but I just was not impressed. As I said, it is clean, but for the rate/value aspect you may be able to do better. I hope that this helps, if anyone needs any more info, please email me.

Resort: Hotel Royal Plaza on Hotel Plaza Blvd in Downtown Disney

Date Of Stay: April 24th - April 28th 2003

Type Of Resort: Downtown Disney Resort

Room Sleeps : 4

Please Rate The Following On A Scale From 1-10 (10 being the best):

Theming: 5 - The rooms were nicely decorated but no particular theming was evident.
Room Size: 7 - We were upgraded to a jacuzzi room which had plenty of space to walk around.
Amenities: Disney Transportation, Jacuzzi tub, mini-bar, lobby eating areas, pool, I'm sure there were others.
Quality: 8 - I thought everything was nicely done.
Cleanliness: 9 - No complaints and the washcloths were folded in a beautiful fan shape!
Transportation: I didn't use it but my roommate didn't have trouble getting around. Her only complaint was the frequency at which the buses departed.
Recreation: can't say - I didn't spend much time at the hotel.

Over All Rating: 8

Don't Miss: A great on-property hotel for a good price

Room Location Suggestion: there are rooms with views of the parks and on the 16th floor the fireworks were easily visible

The Mouse For Less Tip: at $70/night (a mousesavers.com price) this was a great value

Comments: Chris, our hotel guest server was a pleasure to deal with and gave us the upgraded room. It typically costs an extra $30/night for the jacuzzi room. We received the upgrade partly because our room wasn't ready and partly because I used the MFL techniques that are offered here. There were others next to us complaining loudly that didn't get anywhere!
