Don't Miss: Can't think of anything.

Room Location Suggestion: Building 4, a short walk to food court, bus stop, or pool.

The Mouse For Less Tip: Can't think of anything.

Comments: I really, really wanted to like this resort, but after experiencing it, I wouldn't want to stay here again. It is very dated compared to other resorts. Check in was easy; I had requested building 4 and got it. The CM checking us in saw it was my birthday and asked me who my favorite character was. When I told him Tinkerbell, he looked a little uncomfortable and then said, "Well, she's too small to hold a pen to sign her name, is there anyone else?" Boy did that tickle me - he looked truly conflicted! The resort had beautiful landscaping. Our room was very convenient, and plenty big enough. As others have said, that curtain between the beds and sleep area is a godsend. The cleanliness of the room was adequate - I saw mildew on the shower curtain. My 10 year old, whose father is a contractor, was especially taken with the marble slab at the back of the tub. ???? He thought marble and porcelain were odd choices to use together. I just stifled my laughter and smiled at him. The food court was a strange setup, and small to me; I would not want to try to use the food court at super-busy times of the day, especially if the resort was at capacity. My sons used the pool one night and my 10 year old declared it "Awesome!" My biggest irritation was with the bus system at this resort. What is up with it??? We have stayed at all levels of resorts at WDW, and I've never had to deal with erratic or nonexistent buses anywhere else. And it was at the resort AND at the parks, too - at Epcot at closing time, we walked leisurely toward the exit after Illuminations and by the time we got to our bus stop, most others were almost empty, and the Port Orleans one was PACKED beyond the bus stop queue. This trip we flew so we had no other way of getting around, but even if we drove we love not having to drive, so the bus situation at POFQ is a big drawback for us. My 16 year old daughter, a Disney veteran, stayed at Riverside with another family in April and warned me about the buses, but I attributed that to Spring Break crowds. Now I don't think so. We also tried the beignets; I was neutral about them, my younger son loved them. I think I was expecting a more delicate dough, and these were like fried biscuits, not flaky at all. Hope you enjoyed our review!

Don't Miss: The Beingets at the food court, the boat ride to DTD, the grounds.

Room Location Suggestion: It doesn't really matter at this resort, the buildings are all in close proximity to the main building/bus stop.

The Mouse For Less Tip: we found that if we knew we would be using EMH, we drove our rental car to the park because the bus situation was not very efficient since the resort shares buses with POR, leaving MK after EMH last year was a disaster, it took over and hour to return to the resort, so this year we drove.

Comments: Be sure to spend time wandering around the landscape is beautiful!

We drove down as usual. We left the house, in Indiana, around 5am Saturday and arrived in Cordell, GA around 4:30 pm. It was a pleasant trip down. I mention the trip because of the motel we stayed at, The Radison, in Cordell. I love this motel,if you are in need of a stop over on your way down, this is your motel! We stay here every time we drive and so far so good. No problem at all, the rooms are always clean and comfy and they have a nice breakfast in the AM. So, after our breakfast of sausage, eggs and biscuits, we were on our way to the World. It is about a 3.5-4 hour trip from Cordell.

We arrived on WDW property around 2pm. We checked into POFQ and there was no wait at all. The only complaint would be that there were some band kids leaving as we got there and they were crowded all around outside the front doors, so much so that we had to re route ourselves so that we could get into the lobby! I could not believe that not one person, not even an adult, attempted to get out of the way so we could get to the lobby. But the check in was smooth, very smooth, we were in our room within a few minutes of arriving.

Room number was 6411 ( I believe) I have looked everywhere for my check out papers but have misplaced them, sorry! Anyway, the room was fine and we were good with the location too. It was a short walk to the lobby and food court which was nice.

We used our own transportation so I can not speak for that. I can say that we used their transportation in the past and have found it to be very convenient and really like the fact that we were picked up first and dropped off first. One night we went to DTD with the use of the boats. If you have the time to wait for the boats and take this nice leisurely trip down the Sassagoula river then you should do it! We almost always get some nice background stories about Disney from the captain.

The food court is as good as any of the others. I find that every time we stay at this resort or even when we have visited, the food court does not get too crazy. Seems even when it has been somewhat busy we always manage to get a table easily enough. I can not say that about all of the resorts we have stayed at. The Cast members at the food court were particularly friendly this time around. There was only one incident and it was definitely the exception to the way things had been going for this trip. It involved a pizza girl and her " I am tired and I don't care" attitude. Other then that, it was all good. This was our first time using the DDP and they were very helpful and* correct* in explaining it to us!

We added one more day to our stay just before arriving and the front desk handled it perfectly, there was no interruption of our stay to change rooms or anything at all. They did good.

Mousecleaning did a fair job. I left a tip everyday though and did not get one towel animal!! Boohoo!

Overall the resort was nice, quiet and friendly. It was located near everything so driving was easy. I love this resort and will stay here again in the future. I always recommend it to friends and family as the best moderate, IMHO.

OH and we got a bounceback offer while there, we are going back in Dec to the Beach Club with the family at a great savings!!

Don't Miss: The walkway over to Port Orleans Riverside. It is really a nice walk. Also the boat to Downtown Disney is fun too!

Room Location Suggestion: Any location would be fine because the resort is very compact. Some may want to reserve a water view room. It is very quaint.

The Mouse For Less Tip: At certain times of the years, special pricing may be available for FL residents, AP holders and even the general public.

Comments: There is no table service restaurant available at this resort. There is a food court and a lounge though. You can walk or take a bus to nearby Port Orleans Riverside and eat at their table service restaurant.
