Don't Miss: The huge and totally gaudy (in a good way!) icons for each
decade. I love the Foosball men and Mickey phone in the 70's area and
the Playdoh is always good, too. Roger Rabbit is AWESOME!
Room Location Suggestion: We were on the backside of the 80's building
(building 9) facing the 90's parking lot. This is a great spot for
catching the bus as you can cut through the 90's parking lot to get on
them.
The Mouse For Less Tip:
Comments: Having stayed in All Star Sports, I would say that after our
visit to Pop, we will probably never return and will instead choose All
Stars again. They didn't seem to be really big on enforcing the no
smoking policy and we have the people in all of the rooms surrounding us
going out on the balcony to smoke. This of course wafted into our room.
The walls seems extra-thin as we could hear normal conversations at all
hours. The beds are really hard, too. I had read this on several
reviews prior to the trip and thought it to be odd, but it is true!
Although the theming was great, there was little else to make us want to
stay here again.

Rate Paid During Your Stay: Ap discount with dining plan $487.59 for 4 nights.

Theming: 10
Room Size: 9 I have to say I was happy with this but for 4 pax it would be
small.
Amenities: 8 I used the pool one afternoon but it really was just a place
to sleep at night and in the afternoon.
Quality: 9 I know this is just motel standard but the Magical express and
the bus servise to the parks really makes a great service. The room was cleaned
spotlessly and I had a towel animal. Finally you get what you pay for.
Cleanliness: 10
Transportation: 10 I never waited either comming or going longer than 10
mins for a bus.
Recreation: N/A
Value: 10
Over All Rating: 9
Don't Miss: The day I was leaving I got up early and with my breakfast coffee
actually wandered around the resort. I wanted to see the Icons which were great
to look at and the Classic years building. I had read somewhere they looked sad
but I think that is just interpretation. They are just unfinished.
Room Location Suggestion: I askend for near the main building and got the
middle of the 70's this is away form the pools and near enough to walk easily
for coffee in the morning and at night. It was easy to access the bus stop
without going through the main areas.
The Mouse For Less Tip: I found the drink mug a really good deal.
Comments: The food in the food court was much better than I expected. I had
dinner twice and both meals I enjoyed. I was not so keen on the breakfast but I
think that was just european taste rather than there was something wrong with
it. The staff were very helpful and I was send back for a second drink for
breakfast which the girl didn't need to tell me.
I got a room in the area I requested which considering I didn't check-in till
10pm was great.

Theming: 10 we really had fun with this place!!! We spent a hour or more one evening just walking around, taking pictures. Our dd LOVED IT!!
Room Size: 9 They are the size of an average hotel room. It is plenty big for the 3 of us, but were not in the room much.
Amenities: 8 basics in room, the resort itself has a couple really neat pools and a large food court that had some good choices. We try to eat pretty healthy and they had more options that we expected.
Quality: 9 Very good, of course its more expensive for the size and amenities, but its Disney and its worth it to be on property (if your Disney people like we are)
Cleanliness: 10 very clean and housekeeping did a good job of keeping it that way while we were there.
Transportation: 10 The busses were great. We never waited more than a few minutes for a bus, even when leaving Magic Kingdom around closing time.
Recreation: 8 Nice pools with lifeguards, and an arcade are the biggest things we used. We encountered some activities for little ones, giant bowling in the lobby (not permanent, 2 cast members brought them out), a Twister game between 2 buildings (this is permanent), some type of hula hoop activity was being set up at one point neat the busses. We spent a lot of time walking around and found some new deco each time. We also found lots of wildlife and each morning DD would take her leftover bread out to a family of ducks that were very friendly.
Value: 10 We thought it was an excellent value and would stay here again.
Over All Rating: I would give it a 9. I think more recreation would be a plus. If our daughter was small Im sure that would be a huge plus for us, she always loved that kind of thing.
Don't Miss: All of the decorations!! (We loved the huge foozeball.) The displays inside near check-in. On the wall across from the desks they have displays of toys and all kinds of stuff from past decades. The CM at check on told us that all of the CMs went through their attic and brought in things they found there to add to the display. Its really neat to look through it all. We walked through several times and pointed out things that we had when we were kids, and even our dd recognized lots of things either from when she was younger or from seeing it on TV. It makes for interesting conversation about when we were kids or when she was younger. We had some very interesting conversation about all of the things we saw at
this resort. We learned things about each other and got to share memories (its always interesting to hear what kids remember about the past that parents might have forgotten) and that makes a vacation more meaningful and helps you grow closer as a family. (Isnt that what its all about ?)
Room Location Suggestion: There are preferred room, but I dont think its at all necessary unless you have mobility issues because we walked around all of the buildings and it seemed to be a short walk to the main hall from all of them. There is parking for each building and one morning when my daughter was having some pain (she has chronic pain issues) we drove around to the front of the main hall and parked there for the day so it was just a hop across the road to the bus, food court etc.. and when we got off the bus the vehicle was right there.
The Mouse For Less Tip: The $77 passholder rate was a great deal!! DD and DH got caricatures there because they were done by hand, not airbrushed and they were a few dollars cheaper than at DTD. They were both REALLY pleased with the results and felt like he did an excellent job and they enjoyed talking to him while they were being done. (the guy who does them at POP does them at AK and I think they were $2 cheaper at AK)
Comments: We really enjoyed this stay and will be back at POP in the future!!

Don't Miss: The surrey bicycles for 2-4 riders.
Room Location Suggestion: We usually stay in the 50's - convenient and quiet.
The Mouse For Less Tip: We always had breakfast before leaving for the parks - as in all the value resorts, I feel you get your money's worth.
Comments: Kids love the theme icons all around the buildings . . . well, so do
I. If you have older kids and spend a lot of time in the parks the value resorts
are definitely the way to go.
