Name Of Resort: Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground-Cabins

Date Of Stay: May 10-13, 2007

Type Of Resort: Home Away From Home

Rate Paid During Your Stay: It was around $200/night

Room Sleeps : 6 and a pack and play.

Please Rate The Following On A Scale From 1-10 (10 being the best):

Theming: 10
Room Size: 9
Amenities: 9
Quality: 9
Cleanliness: 9
Transportation: 4
Recreation: 5
Value: 6

Over All Rating: 7

Don't Miss: The fireworks from the Marina.

Room Location Suggestion: We were in Heron Hollow 2700 block. This was right in the front. Probably staying more towards the back is better because most of the amenities are back there plus the Marina.

The Mouse For less Tip: RENT THE GOLF CART OR BRING YOUR OWN - IT'S A MUST!

Comments: My family would not stay at this resort again. The cabins were clean and roomy and the convenience of the kitchen was great. The problem is just the getting around on the golf cart. It was fun for about 1 day but then when the fun wore off, it was a real pain. We went to dinner Satuday night and having to walk through the sand in dress shoes was not fun! I guess I'm too much of a city girl for the cabins! We had a frog, a lizard, a bee and a scorpion in the hotel room. I would not suggest this resort for those with little kids because NOTHING is right around the corner. If you are bored in the room, you just can't walk to the pool or walk to the arcade, it was rough with little ones that like to be active.

Don't Miss: Lots of activities at the resort.

Room Location Suggestion: We were in the 2400 loop, right at the end so we were close to a bus stop and the laundry room.

The Mouse For less Tip: We stopped at a store on our way tot he resort and got juice and water and some snacks to have in the cabin.

Comments: The cabin itself was very nice and gave us plenty of room for our boys to run around and release some energy. The transportation was not great, It was very time consuming, you have to wait for an internal bus to take you to one of the two bus stops and then from there wait for another bus or a boat to your desired destination.
