How Many Days Inns Are There On 192? - By Bianca Brister
There are five Day Inn motels east of Disney on 192. None of them had a seperate name on the outside of the building. I guess you have to research their
website and location booklet to know the separate names. I had never purposely gone looking for a Days Inn, and had not noticed this
many of them. Of course, I have no idea of what the rooms looked like inside. I only gained impressions of the outside of the motels.
1) 4104 W. Irlo Bronson Hwy
2) 4125 W. Irlo Bronson Hyw
These two properties were across the street from each other, perhaps five-six miles from the WDW property. They were very near the old
Kissimmee area on 192. Each property was composed of older tan colored buildings. I did not think that either property appeared too
well kept.
3) 5245 W. Irlo Bronson Hwy, across 192 from Liberty Village
This is evidently the property known as EASTGATE Days Inn. It is probably three miles from the entrance to WDW. The two-story
buildings are all painted pink with bright turquoise doors. It is built around a central courtyard with the pool inside that. The
motel has at least half of its rooms/doors facing the parking lots. A very traditional motel set-up. At first glance, it looks okay from
the outside, then I noticed a lot of little details that show that maintenance may be lacking. I don't think it has been painted in
awhile.
4) 5820 W. Irlo Bronson Hwy, Suite motel, exactly next door to Old Town, east of the street called Holiday Trails
This is a large property that is completely made up of small suites. The parking lot of this "resort" abuts the parking lot of Old Town.
I would think that is would tend to be noisy and busy during high seasons. But I could be wrong. There are six or seven different
buildings, each having it own color scheme. The outside appears to be well kept. Both this property and the one across the street (#5)
have a very 70's look in their architecture. I don't know what they were when first built, but I have the feeling that they are from the
first few years of WDW's existence.
5) 5840 W. Irlo Bronson Hwy, Regular rooms, across the street from Suite Resort, west of the street called Holiday Trails
This resort and the suites resort evidently share the MAINGATE EAST moniker. This resort is made up of four large three-story buildings
that surround a large central courtyard. I did not get out and look inside it. But I could see a pool. There may be more amenities due
to the size of it. Those four buildings are painted tan with hot pink and turquoise trim. They appeared to be well maintained, but as
stated above, the architecture is definitely dated. There is a separate long building across the front of the property, facing 192.
It appears to be the check-in office, a gift shop, and two different restaurants. The four buildings with rooms are behind the office and
across a parking lot.
I did not get out on 192 west of Disney. There are supposed to be two more Days Inns there. The next time I am in that area, I will
check them out. I don't know if this will help with the reviews or not. I was hoping that each Days Inn would advertise it's individual
name on the outside, but they did not.
