Hidden Gems at Walt Disney World

We have collected for you a compilation of those out of sight, over looked, and sometimes free things to do at the Walt Disney World Resort. Perhaps you have a “slow down and smell the roses park” day or maybe you just enjoy those “out of the ordinary” things that most people miss.  Take the time to do a little exploring.  In addition, add some surprises into your park days and show off your knowledge as a Disney fan!

Magic Kingdom

From Liberty Square to Tomorrowland and everywhere in between, there are hidden gems to discover!   Guests with a keen eye can hunt for Pascal hidden near the Tangled restrooms in Fantasyland.  Adventurers can head to Tom Sawyer Island to explore the caves.  Similarly, check out the details in the Pirates of the Caribbean queue.  Observe the daily Flag Ceremony on Main Street, U.S.A. to salute the flag and our service members.  Also, take in the details of the mural in Cinderella’s Castle.  Click here to discover more magical moments in the Magic Kingdom.

Epcot

Hidden Gem Epcot

Both World Celebration and the World Showcase offer hidden gems.  For example, hydrate with some free (yes, free!) Coca-Cola beverages at Club Cool.  Speaking of hydration, learn about water with Moana!  Take a ride on Living with the Land to notice seasonal displays and to hunt for Hidden Mickeys.  In the World Showcase, each country has some fun gems to discover.  Stroll through the ‘market’ in Morocco to marvel at the mosaic tiles.  After that, grab a zen moment near the koi pond in Japan.  Window shop in each country to discover some fun displays.  For a larger list of hidden gems in Epcot, click here.

Hollywood Studios

Toy Story Midway Mania Exit Hollywood Studios

Movie lovers will not be disappointed with the hidden gems throughout Hollywood Studios.  Visit a galaxy far, far away to notice a unique feature on the Millennium Falcon.  Shrink to be the size of a toy, and see how many childhood favorite toys and games you recognize in Toy Story Land.  Notice the pavement near the Grauman’s Chinese Theater to see a nod to the real Hollywood.  Also, pay tribute to Walt Disney at Walt Disney Presents.  Discover more to explore by clicking here.

Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom Hidden Gem

In the movie UP!, we learned that “The Wilderness Must Be Explored!”  Animal Kingdom provides the perfect wilderness for a day full of adventures.  In fact, Animal Kingdom is so loaded with details that the best way to enjoy this park is to go slow and soak in the atmosphere.  Let your ears discover the sounds of someone cooking a meal outside of Tusker House.  Wander through the Tree of Life paths and count how many animal carvings you can spot on the Tree of Life.  Take the train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch to observe exotic animals receiving veterinarian care at select times.   Explore and discover more details by clicking here.
