The price of your cruise are determined by many variables. What season are you traveling? Is there a holiday within your cruise date? How early are you booking? etc.
As a rule, fall and winter season are the lowest priced season, with Spring time having the most expensive cruises. If there is a holiday that falls within your travel dates the rate will rise accordingly as well.
Most cruise line prices follow a bell curve, where the people who book the earliest, get the Early Booking Savings (EBS) which are the lowest prices. As it gets closer to the cruise date, the price rises till it reach the point when the cruise line feel necessary to lower the price to fill unsold cabins. With most cruise lines, cruisers have to weigh the importance of getting the best choice of desirable cabins and cabin locations with the possibility of lower prices if the cruise is booked late enough. Disney, however, is not "most cruise lines" and have broke the mode of bell curve pricing. With Disney cruises, the earlier a cabin is booked, the better the price and selection. The only exception would be promotional group cruises, where the prices for the special cruise remains the same to sailing date while regular booking prices rises. Even when booking a group cruise, it would be best to book early in order to ensure the best cabin location.
There are two methods of booking a cruise - directly with the cruise line or through a travel agency. Generally, there are no benefit to booking directly with the cruise line. The prices are the same no matter who the cruise is booked through. The prices below reflect the range of possible prices for each category, from the lowest possible EBS price to the highest possible rate depending on cruise season and time of booking. This rate includes the base rate and the port charges ($99.00 for 3 or 4 night cruises and $139.00 for 7 night cruises). Government taxes and fees are not included in the price below.
