Description: What could be nicer than a tea party with Alice and the Mad Hatter? Children eat a "backwards lunch" (dessert first) and enjoy tea sandwiches, crackers, cheese and tea (apple juice). Children decorate cupcakes, play games and even have their picture taken with the characters. Alice and the Mad Hatter are usually in attendance, and there is a special surprise for parents at the end.

*Some children love to get dressed up for this event, while others feel more comfortable in casual
clothes-both are fine.

Cost: $28.17+ tax
For potty trained children 4-10

Description: Little pirates, set sail on an adventure as they learn the legend of Gasparilla and follow the clues to find the treasure. Children don life jackets and travel by boat to several "exotic ports" (resort beaches). During their journey, they stop for lunch of PB&J, rice crispy bars, gummi treats and juice. When they find the treasure, it is split among the pirates, and every child comes off the boat with a smile, and a bag full of gold coins, mardis gras beads, plastic bugs and other small toys perfect for little pirates.
* parents must sign a waiver before their child can participate in this activity
*May be cancelled due to inclement weather.
Grand Adventures in cooking
Where: Grand Floridian-Mouseketeer Club
When: Tuesday and Friday 10:00am to 11:45 am
Cost: $23.47+ tax
For potty trained children 3-10
To reserve: 407-WDW-DINE 90 days prior

Description: Children are the chef of the day as they cook, decorate a chef’s hat and personalize their own apron. These both make wonderful souvenirs. The staff will read a story, and then help the children as they make a recipe related to the story. The "chefs in training" then serve their treats to guest in the lobby of the GF. If you are in the lobby around 11:15 or 11:30 on a Tuesday or a Friday look for the kids with a rolling cart and snacks.
General Information
When making a reservation for any of these activities you must provide a credit card number. You must cancel 24 hours prior to the event or you will be charged. They also require that everyone arrive 15 minute prior to the start of the event.
The Grand Adventures Activities are "children only" activities-no adults. There is a period of time when adults can help ease their children into the situation, but after that, all adults must leave.
All children must be fully potty trained, and no "pull-ups" are allowed
The staff is wonderful, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about these professional caring people. We did not hesitate to trust them with the care of our daughter. They even remembered her name on subsequent trips.
These activities are a great opportunity for parents to experience some "adult" time. You may want to just wander around the grounds of the Grand Floridian, and soak it all in. Or you could grab a meal at the Grand Floridian Cafe-we have enjoyed many peaceful lunches here, sipping iced tea, enjoying the wonderful Strawberry pie, and the peacefulness of it all.
