Sign Language for the Hearing and the Hearing Impaired
By Dania. - July 21, 2002

Each and every park has at least 6 shows, rides, and parades a week that are interpreted. These are professionals that the company use and are well trained. They are Mark (manager), Brian, Jennye, Vince, Tara, Alan, and Teresa. They are a wonderful group of people to be around and so very accommodating with the needs of the individual(s).

Each week the schedule is basically the same with the exception that more performances may be added if requested. Each show, ride, parade, etc. has a certain meeting place and the CM at each of the places should know where you are to go. If you get lost just stop and ask, they are always willing to help. Below I am listing the performance schedule as of right now 7/18/02. Along with show and time(s) I have also listed the suggestions that are made in the guide you can get from guest services at the beginning of your stay but more about that later.

Please meet the interpreter at the entrance to the attraction. PLEASE do not queue up with the line as the interpreter will need to bring the group he has in as a whole. *special note* I had the pleasure of being apart of the show with a deaf lady this past wednesday, so you never know they might just pick you for the job even if you are not among the crowd.

This concludes the extensive list of what is interpreted inside the parks. There are other things such as the Polynesian Luau and other shows that can be interpreted upon request prior to your visit to the world. I have enjoyed my stay here and will be giving you a wonderful write up once I return home. I miss being a part of the group and look forward to joining back in when I return. Any question you have concerning anything about the interpreting done here just email me at DisneyCP2002@aol.com
