Hours from WDW: approximately 8 hours
Good Restaurants: All the standard fast food at exit 24: McDonalds, KFC, Taco Bell, Krystal, Waffle House (2), Subway (2) Burger King, a couple of decent chinese places in the shopping Centers--El Ranchito is a great mexican place in the WalMart center;
Exit 26 has a Publix shopping center with a Japanese steak house, CoffeeTown USA, a mexican restaurant, a latin restaurant, Johnny's pizza, McDonalds...
Locations of 24 hour restaurants: Exit 24- Krystal, Waffle House; Exit 26- Wilco/ Hess Truck stop is a "Stuckeys" and the other side of the station has a Godfathers Pizza, and a Subway!
Locations of good, clean hotels/motels: Motels at Exit 24 are Super 8, Comfort Inn, Best Western, Days Inn. Behind the truck stop at Exit 26 is a small, but clean, older (cheaper) motor inn called the American Inn. (I know the owner! Great people who have kept out of the "trash"!!)
Recreation/attractions: South of Exit 24 there is a bowling alley and skating rink being built. Construction should be completed by 12/2008! Downtown historic district offers nice local shopping and nicer dining (North, then east on Hwy 78 between Exits 24 and 26!)
Nearest Disney store/outlet...and type ie... Castle Store: Arbor Place Mall in Douglasville - Just off I-20 at Chapel Hill Road (Disney "retail" store).
Welcome centers: Georgia Welcome Center is at the state line, just before Tallapoosa, GA (Exit 9). Villa Rica is about 24 minutes east on I-20.
