Cinderellabration

"Cinderellabration" is the new show that is now playing in the castle forecourt. It is the same show that has been playing to rave reviews in Disneyland Tokyo.

Officially scheduled to premiere May 5 in honor of the Disneyland 50th celebration, the show has already begun its `soft open run' and can be seen daily, running numerous times each day. The newly renovated Hub area allows for great viewing! It is now possible for more people (and especially children) to have unobstructed views of the show. The down side of this new attraction is that the walkway through the castle is closed most of the day causing difficulty getting to and from Fantasyland.

The premise of the show is that Cinderella is now ready to be crowned a `princess'! The Grand Duke begins by introducing the guest- first the `non-royals' enter and do a lovely dance number. Fairy Godmother and the King are also in attendance. Then, couple by couple, the Disney `royalty' arrive and have the opportunity to have the spotlight before Cinderella and her Prince arrive. Guests include Snow White and her Prince, Aurora and Philip, Belle and her Prince (NOT as Beast), and Jasmine and Aladdin.

Cinderella and her Prince finally arrive! Cinderella is crowned by the King and she and her Prince dance in celebration. All of the Disney "royals" congratulate and celebrate along with the rest of the guests. Finally, there are fireworks from the castle, everyone waves goodbye, and exit back into the castle.

It is a lovely show certain to thrill any little `princess' or `prince'. It is nice to see more male Disney `royals' featured. There is not much to the storyline, but the show is beautiful and a welcome addition to the Disneyland 50th celebration attractions.
