MFL Vault > MFL Survivor > MFL Survivor April 23, 2001 Report

April 23, 2001

The red tribe is off to a good start despite a few changes to the original invited members. The result: 9 of the "hottest" ladies this reporter has seen. After several polls and several more polls (and several more polls), these ladies have graciously named themselves "The Red Hot Disney Divas", a most fitting name.

It is quite obvious who is running the show here, as it appears one member has jumped right in and taken ahold of the tribe communication. There has been quite a lot of emails exchanged. If TheMouseForLess Survivor was a talk show, these ladies would be on their sofas pouring coffee! One discussion that is a fav among these ladies is the ongoing talk about the "Real Survivor" and the potential similarities of the game. These ladies are really into their show! This seems to be the bond that ties them together.

Even though they have taken to each other, they seem to help themselves before they help each other. I haven't seen much sharing of information going on between the girls concerning the ins and outs of the list. They're quick to discuss clues, but for those still trying to find the clues and get to them, there seems to be a lack of communication. They really need to pull together and make sure each knows where their files are located so that they are all on the same level.

The "Divas" are really good at discussing the clues. As of last night's TheMouseForLess chat, they have proven themselves to excel in Disney Trivia, with several members whalloping the other tribe. I think that once the game becomes more of a serious competition, and less of a social hour, we'll really start to see these Red Hot Diva's burn!

Monday morning's challenge seems to have really brought this team up to speed. I mean, they are on FIRE! They are the hunters and gatherers. Excellent job by these Diva's as they've already got a good foundation for their challenge established.

The blue tribe, now here's a group that has taken off with a bang! It would appear that there are a few alliances already being made amongst the members of this group, and the competition and commanderie is fierce! Two of the male members seem to be tagteaming for leadership of the tribe. This group had very little difficultly naming themselves Kungaloosh, and have taken the survivor theme to the max.

The synergy that this team has already displayed may be their undoing. They're sticking close to the rules of the real survivor game and have quickly digressed to the weakest link. I feel that there is going to be great difficulty for each of them to try to vote members of the tribe off.

Once the clues were posted, they were off and running. Despite the lack of posts concerning the clues, they quickly took the lead in deciphering Binnie's encrypted quotes.

Monday's challenge has thrown this group in a different direction. It is apparent that Kungaloosh is a tribe that likes to nominate members rather than appoint them. They are contributing to their challenge in a slow, methodical fashion, carefully picking and choosing their material.

Each group is off to a great start. There is a fierce competition that is already noticeable on the Dollarless list. Each team is its own cheerleader. The fun of observing, is watching as each team tries to determine who the members of the opposite tribe are, and what their strategy may be. Posts have been slipped on the TheMouseForLess list.

After Sunday's evening chat, I feel that it has become quite apparent to each team who each other's members are. There was a lot of playful hazing among the members as everyone was enjoying the trivia game. The banter between the two tribes was quite amusing for the spectators. Members of each tribe are identifying themselves with signatures in their TheMouseForLess posts as a method of cheering on their tribe.

I love both team's logos and find them to be a perfect complement to each tribe. Monday's challenge has sent the groups in the opposite direction from where they were originally heading. Each tribe has several members providing great content and advice, and I feel that there will be no outside help on this one. Good luck Kungaloosh and Red Hot Disney Divas.
