This has been a most interesting week at the camp!!! While members worked diligently on their challenges, there were shenanigans in the camp.
The tribe’s challenge was to plan a 4-day excursion to Disney that included only water parks.
Set your itinerary for your trip and buy your admission media (you do NOT own any passes to ANY water parks or pools, including Disney or Universal or any other water entertainment.) You **MUST** visit at least 1 new water park each day, and DVC or WDW pools do not count in this total.
The discussion question was “What do you think would make a good Survivor challenge during this stage of the game?” One member asked, “What's the matter? Producers running out of things to keep us busy? I think it's challenging enough trying to get any challenge into 300 words or less.” I think this tribal member spoke for the rest. They were really concentrating on each challenge to keep their submissions under the 300-word maximum. Another member went on to add, “But seriously, a trivia challenge would be kind of neat! Some really tough stuff, you know, find a bizarre fact somewhere and then make up a question to go with it.” This member figured that the “earliest submission with the most correct answers wins the challenge.” There was a problem with that however, everyone would need to be available, and since most everyone had requested vacation immunity, this would not work and not everyone has the same access to be online.
“I think we should do a challenge like in the Richard Pryor movie, Brewster's Millions,” one member suggested. “We would each have to try to spend the MOST money possible at WDW in a 3 day period (no souvenirs allowed though to take the money)”. Another member agreed, “Like you just won $25000 in the lottery, and have decided to splurge and use $8000.” Ahh, to only be so fortunate! I would like to see the tribe go wild spending money for a change, they’ve all been so good at being cheap!
Other members of the tribe wanted something totally different for a change. “What I would like to see as a challenge is different from the ones before. I don't want to see an itinerary or anything to do with money. I would like to see true stories from the Survivors dealing with best memories from Disney trips. Show a personal side to us for the MFL group.” Are we starting to see the softer side of the Koko’s? Hmm, we are getting down to the wire, and emotions are starting to become a factor in eliminating tribal members that they’ve been through a lot with these past few months.
On a totally different level, instead of a spending spree, one Koko thought “another possible challenge could be spending time in Disney but not doing the normal theme park stuff. There is so much to do besides the theme parks.” Quote for the week, "Spend a Day, Not a Dollar". This one would be great to see the tribe try to accomplish! So far they’ve pinched the penny until it cried! How could they possibly not spend any money?
As the week progressed, so did their discussions. The tribe always tends to change topics mid week. This week, they discussed body piercing and tattoos. Another Koko had her own topics to discuss. Since Lisa was no longer in the tribe, the Koko’s wondered what she had in store for them for future challenges. JP and colleagues, who have been hanging out enjoying the outer banks of the camp, were overheard laughing that”Ex-Survivor Lisa, formerly known as "Little Kungaloosh and/or Kiddie Kokopuff" will from this day forward be addressed as "Minnie Producer." It is so decreed!”
Back at the camp, the tribe was envisioning what little Lisa was up to! They thought that the producers were playing dress-up with the youngster. “Minnie? Does this mean you all are dressing Lisa up in a red dress with white polka dots and a matching bow?” one Koko laughed. “Don't forget the big oval high heels and the white gloves! I think Minnie Producer would look adorable dressed like that. LOL!” kidded another. Lisa, whose only method of contact with the tribe is via fan mail, had this to say in her defense. “I don’t wanna be dressed as Minnie Mouse. I would look weird lol.”
One last attempt at a discussion question before the big vote was “How about a scavenger hunt? There could be a list of things to find, maybe with help from the MFL list. Items like the price of a certain something, exactly where a certain room is, the color of something, the exact date something opened, etc.” This might be a good idea, but another koko figured “As long as it's nothing like the hidden Mickey challenge, it might be ok.”
During a quite moment, it was asked, “Not 1 single post all day. Are the Divas all dying? Where's the chat vixens that we all know and love so well?” Yes, where were the ladies of language? One member of the tribe, possibly an ex-Kunga guessed, “we know who the noisy ones are” when it became too quite.
Once the challenge was submitted, things really heated up! Each week, once their challenges have been submitted, each member tries to figure out who’s entry is who’s. Mike, formally King Kungaloosh, made the biggest mistake of the game thus far! When he figured out he was ahead in the challenge by several votes, he turned to rallying the dollarless members. In an attempt to gain votes, he answered an email to a dollarless member. Big mistake, HUGE! Instead of replying to the member personally, he replied to the entire board! This cost him the challenge, and the game. All that could be heard was “Nooooooooooo!” bellowing from the camp. Upon realizing his error, he quickly requested from the Trio to be disqualified. I’ve personally got to admit, I thought the game would come down to Mike and Audrey battling to the end to be the Survivor. Wow, that’s all I can say, I never would have predicted this outcome.
Mike was disqualified despite his 22 votes to Lori’s 19. This gives Lori, ex-Diva, the immunity for next week’s challenge. Mike had immunity 2 weeks ago and Jen held it for last week.
With Mike extinguished from the camp’s fire, it will be interesting to see who will make it to the last challenge. Mike has played a fierce game until now and I’m sure there’s a lot of ex-Diva’s glad to see him finally ousted. I bet they’re more than disappointed they didn’t get the chance to vote him off, such a hollow victory for the ladies. We should expect to see Mike’s commentary in the near future. He, along with the past survivors, will be back to help vote in the final 2 elimination polls.
“Scoop Bonnie, I hope she likes her new nickname!”—Yes, I do, I was wondering when I would get a nick name!
