TheMouseForLess SURVIVOR CHALLENGE #6
The Red Hot Disney Divas
It's a Draw!
Kungaloosh
You have $2500 and a family of 3 (two adults, one child).
Exlcuding airfare and using only prices that can be be verified
on the internet, stay on site for 7 nights, get admission to the
parks for 4 days (passes bought specifically for this trip) for all
and bring your entire family for 1 visit to a water park. The goal
is to come in "as close" to budget as possible. Your budget must also
include transfers to and from the airport and may be scheduled for any
dates in 2001 that you desire as long as the trip commences after the
due date of this challenge.
Plan on two meals per day. You may eat your meals inside or outside
of WDW or have groceries delivered, but prices must be verifiable
(use online menus, etc) and transportation cost must be accounted for.
The only discounts you may use are those for codes in which everyone
can qualify (no state codes) and online printable coupons.
Fill in the additional 21/2 days with activities with verifiable
prices. If you want to say you spent the entire day in your resort's
pool for free that's fine, but keep in mind that voters will be
instructed to consider: a). how close you were able to get to the target
budget and b). your trips "quality and fun" factors. Some list members
may feel accommodations are an important "quality factor" while others
will feel that excess money is better spent on quality meals or fun
activities. It will be your job to deduce what would be the most
appealing vacation for this price to a majority of list members.
Your challenge should be submitted as a worksheet listing prices for
all of the vacation components listed above and the urls where the
prices, discounts, and codes can be verified, as well as the date of
your trip. And speaking of dates, please be mindful that activities
you choose, actually occur during your chosen date (i.e., you
couldn't go to E ticket night in December). You do not have to list
activities that will take place in the parks, other than those that
will cost money in addition to park admission (i.e. park tours,
meals, snacks, souvenirs). This is more about cost than itinerary.
