TheMouseForLess SURVIVOR CHALLENGE #12
Linda
Splash Down in Orlando
My family, god love them, are a bit strange. With an opportunity to spend
several days at Walt Disney World, they decide to only visit water parks in
Orlando Since the July Florida Weather is not for the faint of heart, what
the heck! I will keep this trip itinerary simple, short and sweet. And throw
in a money saving tip at the end of the story.
Cast of Characters: Mom, Dad and Darling Daughter, 8
Accommodations: Old Key West-Disney Vacation Club
Transportation: Mom's Mini Van Cost: $40
Day 1: Wet N Wild-Open evenings so it is our first stop after checking in.
Located on International Drive. www.wetnwild.com Cost: $90
Day 2: Blizzard Beach-Disney's version of a Ski Resort. www.wdwig.com/bb.htm

Day 3: Discovery Cove-Swim and snorkeling with Dolphins, Stingrays and
Sharks. http://www.discoverycove.com/ Cost: $600
Day 4: River Country-Disney's original water park with an "ol' Swimmin'
Hole
theme. www.wdwig.com/faq_rc.htm Cost: $48
Food: Breakfast in our condo, Counter Service Lunches at Parks and 1 Dinner
each in our condo, at Chef Mickeys and Rainforest Café. Cost $200
Recap: 4 glorious days of swimming, sunning and spending time with the
family.
Plus we really splurged on Discovery Cove. Total: Under $1100
Money Saving Tip: Many attractions and hotels will give you a discount up
to
50% off their regular price for simply presenting "your" business
card from
a Travel Agency. Make up the name of an agency and use your real name as the
travel agent and print them up at home. ID such as a drivers license may be
required to show that you are the same person as the name on the travel
agency business card. I have been getting into both Busch Garden Parks at half
price for years.
