New Street Entertainment to begin at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.
Lake Buena Vista, FL. - The folks at Walt Disney World are adding a new
street entertainment feature to help increase the value of your admission
ticket. Disney guests will be delighted with the new "Dress Up with Minnie
Mouse", which will begin appearing on August 1, 2001, with six shows
planned daily.
Everyone knows that Minnie Mouse loves to show off her variety of clothes and
shoes, especially when Mickey is around. "Dress Up with Minnie Mouse"
will feature Minnie and a few helpers. They will be located at different points
around the Magic Kingdom at six different times during the day to offer guests
aged nine and under a chance to play "Dress Up" with Minnie. The
"Dress Up" trunk that Minnie and her friends bring along will have
creative costumes for all sizes of boys and girls to search through. Each child
will be allowed to select a costume on their own or with the help of a parent
and take a few minutes to get all done up. After all the players are ready, the
audience will vote by applause to choose the "Dress Up Star of the
Day" who will receive a special "Dress Up with Minnie Mouse" pin.
"Dress Up with Minnie Mouse" is tentatively scheduled to appear:
10:30 AM near the Cinderella Fountain in Fantasyland
12:30 PM in front of The Chapeau on Main Street
2:30 PM behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square
4:30 PM near the Frontierland Shootin' Arcade
6:30 PM near the exit of It's a Small World
8:30 PM near the exit of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin (when
park hours allow)
