On January 27, the Disneyland Resort kicks off the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company! They’ll be doing it in grand fashioned with new attractions, new nighttime shows, and more. In order for Guests to be able to experience two of those new additions, Guests will need to utilize a virtual queue for each.

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

The first new experience Guests can enjoy will be the brand new Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. This family-friendly experience transports Guests into the wacky cartoon world of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Here you’ll board a train engineered by Goofy and embark on a zany adventure. To experience Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway when the attraction opens, Guests will need to join the virtual queue via the Disneyland app. There will not be a standby line for this attraction at this time. The virtual queue will go live twice daily, once at 7:00 a.m. and once at 1:00 p.m. PT. Guests will also have the option to purchase an individual Lightning Lane time slot, as well, when available.

World of Color – ONE

The second experience that will involve the virtual queue option will be the brand new nighttime show, “World of Color – ONE.” This all-new nighttime spectacular at Disney California Adventure park celebrates the storytelling legacy started by Walt Disney. This will be the first Disneyland Resort nighttime spectacular to feature characters, music and moments from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, the Avengers and Star Wars in the same show!

Guests looking to see this show will be able to join the virtual que through the Disneyland app. Distribution for the virtual queue will begin at 12:00 p.m. PT, daily (subject to availability). It is available for those Guests who have entered Disney California Adventure for the day or have entered Disneyland with a Park Hopper ticket. Joining the virtual queue will not be required, but it is highly recommended as walk-up viewing options for each performance are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
