This year, the Disneyland Resort will kick off the holiday season in merry style on November 12! Guests who visit the Disneyland Resort to celebrate will be treated to entertainment, treats, merchandise, décor, and the transformation of select attractions! (And what’s even better….I will be there on November 12, so you’ll definitely want to follow along with The Mouse For Less’ social for all the holiday fun!)  Here’s what each park and the resort overall will be offering.

Disneyland

At Disneyland, Guests will be able to see Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle, as well as a 60-foot Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A. If you’re looking for a parade, the “A Christmas Fantasy” parade will head down Main Street, U.S.A. for the season. Oh and be on the lookout for Santa who may be making other stops within the parks. In the evening, Guests will be able to catch the “Believe … in Holiday Magic” fireworks spectacular. There will also be magical snowfall over portions of Main Street, U.S.A. Finally, the seasonal transformations of “it’s a small world” Holiday and the 20th installation of Haunted Mansion Holiday will take place.

Disney California Adventure

Moving over to Disney California Adventure, Guests will be able to experience the Festival of Holidays. Here they will be able to enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of Christmas/Navidad, Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Three Kings Day.

“Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” will return once again. During this event, Disney characters will host a fun street party featuring Mexican folklórico dancers and Mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers and percussionists, giant mojiganga puppets and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Over at Paradise Gardens, there will be themed food and beverages, as well as live music and dance. Then, later in the holiday season, Guests will be able to see Mirabel from the upcoming film Encanto. Also, at Pacific Wharf, Guests will find holiday-themed menus with special food and drink. In addition, younger Guests will find craft stations and cookie decorating kits.

Moving over to the land I’m most excited about experiencing, which is Cars Land,. Guests will see fun holiday décor ranging from the snow-covered billboard at the entrance to the hubcap-studded tree at the courthouse. Guests will see lots of great holiday touches throughout. Plus, Guests will be able to take part in both Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree.

If you’re looking for Santa Claus, you’ll find him at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. In addition, Mickey Mouse and pals will celebrate the season with a joyful party. Finally, Guests will be able to dance along to the Holiday Toy Drummers several times daily.

Around the Resort

The resort will also get in on the holiday fun. Guests will see traditional holiday décor and carolers at the Downtown Disney District. The Hotels of the Disneyland Resort will also celebrate, including inside the lobby at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, there will be a giant gingerbread house once again.

The holiday season at the Disneyland Resort will last until January 9, 2022.
