Disneyland Resort guests can access the Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ features. Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ is similar to how it works at Walt Disney World. Guests will find the capabilities in the Disneyland app. The Disney Genie service offers the ability to help you crate your best Disney day. Guests will need to have notification and location services are turned on to get the most out of the app’s features.

Disney Genie
Disney Genie service is a personalized itinerary creator that is inspired by the things you tell the app you want to do. Guests will be able to tell Disney Genie what foodie experiences, must-do attractions, Super Heroes or princesses and more to help tailor options for you.
The service also offers great additional features like a personal tip board to see your favorite attractions and dining options in one central place. There are also forecasted future attraction wait times that will help you predict the best time to ride attractions.
Disney Genie’s purpose is to help you spend less time waiting in line while working around your existing plans, like dining reservations! It will even update your itinerary continually from morning to night so that you can have the most productive day.
Disney Genie+
Disney Genie+ is available for $25 per ticket per day, and allows you to select the next available arrival window for Lightning Lane entrances at a variety of attractions. Choices can only be made one at a time and are subject to limited availability. The Lightning Lane entrances are available at select attractions at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. (These are the former FASTPASS lines.) Disney Genie+ also includes unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads from your day, as well as fun new audio experiences that let you discover the parks in new ways.
Once you enter the park, Guests can purchase Disney Genie+ in the Disneyland app. It also must be linked your park ticket. You may also choose to purchase the option prior to your visit when you purchase a park ticket. As soon as you enter the park, Guests can make Lightning Lane selections.

Individual Lightning Lane Entrance Selection
The Individual Lightning Lane option allows the individual purchase of Lightning Lane entrance for select popular attractions. These will include Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland. Pricing for the Individual Lightning Lane option will vary by date and attraction. You’ll find the most updated pricing on the Disneyland app on the day of your visit. If you choose the Individual Lightning Lane option, you may purchase the next available arrival window, one at a time, for up to two attractions per day.
The good news is that all these attractions will still offer a traditional standby queue or a virtual queue at select attractions.
