
“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” will be released in theaters on November 11, 2022 and to tie into the movie, Disney California Adventure will be celebrating the release of the film for a limited time. Guests will be able to celebrate the arrival of new visiting warriors, taste Wakanda-inspired delicacies, discover props from the film and more in Avengers Campus. Plus they will even be able to pose with a special art installation at the Downtown Disney District.
First, Guests will be able to see M’Baku, one of Wakanda’s greatest warriors and chieftain of the Jabari Clan, in Avengers Campus. M’Baku will invite recruits to join in “The Way of the Jabari,” an all-new experience that will share some of the culture of the Jabari Clan through chants and percussion.
In the Collector’s Fortress, you’ll find The Black Panther Celebration Garden. This area will honor the legacy of the Black Panther in Wakandan lore. This celebratory space invites guests to relax and reflect on the legendary protectors of the Kingdom of Wakanda.
Specialty Dining
Looking for dining options? Stop at the Flavors of Wakanda marketplace located in the Hollywood Backlot. Enjoy traditional African dishes with Wakanda-inspired delicacies that include Peri-Peri Chicken with yellow Jollof rice. Or enjoy the Maafe, a ground peanut stew with sweet potatoes, tomatoes, black-eyed peas and spices, served with naan. You may also want to try the Butterfly Pea Tea Lemonade, the Dawa beverage, consisting of vodka, lemonade, honey, ginger beer and butterfly pea tea.
Over at Shawarma Palace and Shawarma Palace Too inside Avengers Campus, enjoy the Wakandan Roasted Pork Wrap, featuring spiced pork with black garlic sauce and chermoula.
Guests will also want to pick up Shuri’s amazing gauntlet! You can find it at the Flavors of Wakanda marketplace, Shawarma Palace, and Shawarma Palace Too. You can also pick one up at select vending carts near Avengers Campus.

Moving over to the Downtown Disney District, outside the building adjacent to Star Wars Trading Post, Guests will find a limited-time mural celebrating the film. The colorful illustration will be created by artist Nikkolas Smith, who previously created the art installation “King Chad.”
The “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” celebration begins November 11, 2022, and will be available through January 8, 2023.
