The Disney Wish looks like it’s going to be an amazing ship. From the AquaMouse, to the Wish Tower Suite, to the ever important part about being on a cruise….the dining…the Wish is going to break all the rules on what we expect from a Disney Cruise ship. And one way they are doing that is with the addition of a new Marvel-themed restaurant called Worlds of Marvel.
During one of a Guests’ rotations, they can experience the “show” Avengers: Quantum Encounter which will feature Ant-Man and The Wasp. This exclusive Avengers experience will showcase quantum technology, all mixed with world-class cuisine. It’s more than a meal and more than a show: It’s something that’s never been done before in a restaurant on land or at sea! This video will help explain:
What did I just see?!
During Avengers: Quantum Encounter, Ant-Man and The Wasp will be hosting a special presentation of the most powerful Super Hero technologies. Guests will see things like Captain America’s shield, Iron Man’s arc reactor and Ant-Man’s Pym Particles. There will also be holographic models, field reports and iconic scenes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe displayed on the screens found throughout the dining room.
The highlight of the experience will be a hands-on demonstration of the Quantum Core. What’s that? Well it uses cutting-edge technology to shrink and grow targets at the push of a button. Of course, there will be a few “misfires” that will result in Ant-Man-style hijinks. The real trouble, however, begins when an unexpected villain shows up. This villain has brought an army in tow, and they are eager to get their hands on this powerful quantum technology. Ant-Man and The Wasp will need all the help they can get to save the day. They will call on Captain America, Captain Marvel and yes, you for back-up.
As you can see via the concept art, every table at Worlds of Marvel will feature its own Quantum Core. This will can cause objects to shrink and grow remotely. During dinner, you will assist Ant-Man and The Wasp as they attempt some small-scale trials, like shrinking oversized luggage. When enough of the Quantum Cores are activated at the same time, the entire location will become supercharged. Energy will pulse through the power channels in the walls and ceiling.
As far as food is concerned, Guests will enjoy dishes inspired by legendary Marvel locales. These include African Wakanda, Eastern European Sokovia and the Avengers’ home base of New York City.
Worlds of Marvel is just one of three rotational dining experiences on the Disney Wish. The others include Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure and 1923.
The Disney Wish, the fifth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet will sail her maiden voyage on June 9, 2022. Bookings are currently open to for cruises departing June through December 2022.
