A Collection of Disney Talents - Kim McAnnally

I made our kids autograph "books." They have a clip board that will hold all the pages while we are at the parks, to give a nice hard surface for the characters to autograph. Each page is just a little thicker than plain printer paper, but not as thick as card stock. I used Disney Print Creations Collection I to create cute little scenes on each page.
We are taking large barrel markers in various colors (by Rose Art, they have two ends so you get two colors per pen. Each one also has a fine tip and a broad tip for *both* colors!) We'll have the characters autograph the pages with these.
When we get back from our trip, we are going to scan the autographs into the computer and print them out to go on the kids' trip shirts. I also plan to print out the characters that "match" the autographs for the shirts.
Then we will have the pages of the book bound, so each child will have a decorated book and a signed T-shirt (that should never wear off the way a pen can!) for a very dollarless price!

This is a lanyard I picked up at Hobby Lobby for $1.36. I bought a pack of "Yugio" card plastic protectors from Walmart - 15 of them for $2.49. I used a hole punch to punch a hole in the top of the plastic card and printed a cute character to go inside. On the back of the character oage (this one is for my son and matches his Stitch T-shirt) is all of my son's information. Name, our names, phone number, the resort we are staying at, etc. This gives my children something cute and "Disney" to wear and at the same time gives me a feeling of safety, that if we were to get separated, a CM could contact us quickly.

These shirts were quick and easy to make. It took probably around 4-5 hours to do all of them, and that includes picking and choosing our characters. I used the Disney Print Collection volume I, Winnie the Pooh, Toy Story 2 computer coloring book and images I found on the internet. I did a shirt for everyone in our family for Christmas, but have already wrapped all the shirts except for our family shirts for WDW! So these are the pictures of our WDW shirts
I started to make them more "matching" but we all had a favorite character off of different movies, cartoons, etc. so I just made the shirts we wanted instead of trying to tie them altogether in a theme. Our theme is Disney! :)
These are pretty dollarless - less than $5 per shirt and $1 per page of transfer paper. I squeezed all the images I could in on each piece of transfer paper. (**hint for those working with these Disney software programs - if you open "Mickey and Friends" to get Mickey, Minnie, etc, but haven't filled up your transfer page and want to get something from "Peter Pan" on the same page, you can! Open a new document with "Peter Pan" and try to drag and drop your PP images to your MAF image page. It won't let you do that, but AFTER you try to drag and drop it *will* let you copy and paste the image from one page to another! It will NOT let you do this unless you try to drag and drop the image first)
I plan to give these shirts as surprises (which is why I don't have anyone wearing them in the pictures- everyone picked out their favorite character, but has not seen their shirt) I stopped by the Dollar Store and got a beautiful holographic gift bag and a pack of dark blue tissue paper. Each day, I'll put something different in the bag - it will save on the mess of lots of boxes and wrapping paper, and its' cheaper to re-use the $1 bag and tissue paper.
