Who does your family consist of? My husband and one daughter, 8.
What is your occupation? I am a kindergarten teacher.
Who is your favorite Disney Character and why? I love Stitch! He is so mischievous and always getting into something. Down deep he has a good heart though. (kind of like me, LOL!)
How many times have you vacationed to a Disney destination? Nine with 2 more trips in the works for 2009.
What is your favorite Disney Resort (or off site property) and why? I would have to say either the Polynesian or the Grand Floridian. I like the Poly because the grounds are beautiful. We always visit in the summer when the plants and trees are in full bloom and its just like being in the middle of a tropical paradise. We stayed at the Grand Floridian last summer and there is just nothing like the service and the luxury of staying there. We were upgraded to a castle view room upon check in and what a treat it was to watch the fireworks from our own balcony every night!
What is your favorite Disney restaurant, in or out of the parks? Another tie - Tutto Italia (yum to the Bucatini Gratinati, good stuff!) or Le Cellier.
What is your favorite ride or attraction at any of the Disney parks? Tower of Terror followed by Expedition Everest.
When visiting Disney theme parks, do you "park hop" or not and why? Yes we do. Usually by the end of the trip there is something we have missed at each park, so we take a day or so to hop and catch up on the things we missed out on.
What is your favorite Disney memory? Coming out from under the train station and watching my daughter's face the first time she saw the castle in person. (she was 4) It was magical! I also remember so many experiences she had with characters and how they have always been so nice and take their time and talk with her. Her little face would just light up at the sight of a princess!
What is your favorite "extra cost" event/tour? Well my husband likes the golf at all the different courses, that was his gift since we were there last year at Father's Day. DD and I did tea at the GF last year and when we go in Feb we are taking my mom, who is a big gardener, to the Behind the Seeds tour in The Land.
Have you met any MFL members at a Disney park? If so, who and what did you do? No I havent but I would love to!
Besides "things Disney", what do you like to do in your free time? I read a lot, spend time with family, volunteer at my DD's school.
What would people be surprised to know about you? I talk tough but I tend to get my feelings hurt easily.
What is your best MouseForLess money saving tip? I learned on this board about the free water at the counter service restaurants and sharing meals!
What area of TheMouseForLess.com do you use most frequently? Besides the group? I love the money savings tips and I count down the days till I get the MFL newsletter in my inbox.
What is your favorite aspect of MFL? I love the current happenings section. Even when I am here in Louisiana, I can read whats happening at WDW and feel some of the magic from here!
