What is your occupation? British Civil Servant.
Who is your favorite Disney Character and why? You know I can't really answer this - I don't have the one. I adore Tink - its just about the Pixie Dust - I just love that a little bit of magic can be shared by sprinkling it and the warm feeling that it spreads around our family. The Sorcerer Mickey - just sooo cute and I love Fantasmic. And Pooh and the gang do hold a special place too.
As an ImaginEAR, what regular feature/job do you do for MFL? - I Coordinate GKTW activities and organise Worldday each December.
How many times have you vacationed to a Disney destination? 9 times WDW and 14 times DLP.
What is your favorite Disney Resort (or off site property) and why? For DLP we like to visit the Explorers hotel (off site) it has all the amenities of a Disney Hotel - buses to the park every 12 mins, a pool and even the shop in the lobby but at half the price. In Orlando we stay at a hotel up by Wet n Wild - its nothing special but at $36 a night it means I get to go more. But if we are talking a favourite resort without staying it has to be AKL. I just love it, the atmosphere, the animals and Boma too.
What is your favorite Disney restaurant, in or out of the parks? WDW: in Hollywood and Vine, out Boma, DLP I love Toad Hall, counter service but we tend not to use DLP restaurants.
What is your favorite ride or attraction at any of the Disney parks? WDW: Tower of Terror, DLP Rock n Roller (only cos I haven't ridden the new TOT at DLP yet).
When visiting Disney theme parks, do you "park hop" or not and why? WDW - no hopping because we basically save the money by not adding the option. DLP yes because we have AP's.
What is your favorite Disney memory? This is really hard as to be honest I have far to many and each is special in its own way. Our very first visit to WDW and seeing *the castle*, Beth finally getting the characters and running up to Mickey to hug him after 2 weeks of shying away from them, Jud's face when he got his special desert in Boma. And although not Disney - my very first visit to GKTW Village. I fell in love basically and found a place that meant so much. I suppose its the Tink affect, the pixie dust just abound in that place.
What is your favorite "extra cost" event/tour? I haven't done at tour but I do like the Halloween Party in MK. I think though that the Christmas party is now just too busy.
Have you met any MFL members at a Disney park? If so, who and what did you do? Oh lots and lots. I met up with Melanie and Jud the most, all over the place to be honest. Nikki from Spain at DLP, Annette from WI DLP and WDW. I met Rosie in MGM, just she and I and we spent only 15 mins chatting. I have spent the day at MK with Jud, Annette, Sharon Lin and Stefanie and DD. We ate at Crystal palace, an early breakfast. I bumped into Tammy (LilPurple) in EoS. I met with LeeAnn and Jim couple times and we ate at Earl of Sandwich. I have done a couple meets in DTD with guests, lets see Jane our WDW shopper, Jud (again) Lisa Mclure, Barbara and Tony, Betty and Jim, Beccy, Melanie, Carol V, Terri, Amy Alt, Deanna from California. You know I am desperetly trying not to leave out people I have met up with. I know Kathy and Bill from NY we ate at Old Key West. Colleen and her family, we met in Cape May. A meet in GKTW led to meeting Bobbie from Tampa, Tammy Norman, BarbB and Brenna from Canada, Debra from TN, Judy CK, Judy from NY. Laura and family from Miama we shared a game in MGM, Colleen and Walter, Marie from NY, Carol G. Oh, I have met with Erica and Binnie. From TMFL I have meet Jess, Carol, Debs and Mike. If I missed anyone and I know I have then I do apologise.
Besides "things Disney", what do you like to do in your free time? I scrap book, read, sew and basically read and reply to emails.
What would people be surprised to know about you? Not a lot - I am so open I am sure you all know lots. But I do have a Law Degree and I have a motorcycle licence.
What is your best MouseForLess money saving tip? What saves me the most money is shopping for souveniers in outlet stores. In the parks its the free iced water that you get just for asking, or buying a double burger and a bun (these are about 50c) and splitting the burger along with tomatoes etc from the filling station.
What area of TheMouseForLess.com do you use most frequently? I wouldn't say any one particular area, depends what I am researching at the time.
What is your favorite aspect of MFL? FAMILY - I love the family aspect of MFL with our own Mom and the rest. My holidays to Orlando are not just about visiting the parks but we go to meet with our family.
