What is your name? Teri Dalco
MFL member Teri Dalco and her DS Jack.
Who does your family consist of? Me 43 in Aug, DH John 41, DD13, Aisling, DD10, Ciara, and DS 14 months, Jack.
What is your occupation? Mostly stay at home mom, but also cooking show consultant with Pampered Chef.
Who is your favorite Disney Character and why? I always liked Eeyore, but Remy is my culinary hero.
How many times have you vacationed to a Disney destination? First time was my honeymoon in 1991, but now we are DVC we go every year or so.
What is your favorite Disney Resort (or off site property) and why? I really like the Beach Club Villas, because they are so close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Oh yeah and the really cool pool. Being DVC and the villas make it so much more than just a hotel room. We could never stay in just a room anymore.
What is your favorite Disney restaurant, in or out of the parks? We went to the Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki on our honeymoon and have been to this restaurant every time we have gone since. We lucked out last October and got in on our last day in a soft opening before the official opening. It was going to be so sad if we didn't eat there, and the last day as we were walking by we saw people up there and ran up to see if we could get in. It was great Disney magic.
What is your favorite ride or attraction at any of the Disney parks? I'm a Splash Mountain fan, but Soarin' is great.
When visiting Disney theme parks, do you "park hop" or not and why? We don't park hop when we first get there, but as the vacation wears on we do. We try to do a park a day so we aren't wasting time traveling, but when we want to do certain things, we end up traveling.
What is your favorite Disney memory? On my honeymoon, Pluto really hammed it up with my husband and it was so funny. Also having Mickey Mouse call us over when we took our first baby to DL. Mickey wanted to hold the baby since she was only 5 months, so mickey went and sat on a bench and held her.
What is your favorite "extra cost" event/tour? I'd love to try the Segway Tour.
Have you met any MFL members at a Disney park? If so, who and what did you do? A couple of Thanksgivings ago we wet up at a meet, with lots of folks, including Jud and Barbara. Met Jud again when he came up to Boston.
Besides "things Disney", what do you like to do in your free time? I love to cook, but I end up chasing and chauffeuring kids a lot.
What would people be surprised to know about you? When I was in college i couldn't boil water.
What is your best MouseForLess money saving tip? There are so many! I love the DDE, and carrying a refillable brita water bottle to filter water so we don't buy water that is more expensive than some wines.
What area of TheMouseForLess.com do you use most frequently?
I like the menus for planning. I do wish we didn't have to plan meals so far ahead though.
What is your favorite aspect of MFL? The people here and the great giving to GKTW.
