Christmas Day -- Robin Sackevich

We were at the park bright and early on Christmas day. We caught the first bus from the All Star Sports and were at the Magic Kingdom at 7:15, the gates opened at 7:30. A cast member was nice enough to get our photo at the front entrance.

Walt Disney World always does a wonderful job decorating for the holidays. This Christmas tree looked like it was plucked right out of a Disney storybook.

The sun rising over the castle was breath taking. We had to get a photo of the family on Main Street. A cast member offered to take a photo of us.

The sun hid behind the clouds long enough so that I could get a photo of Cinderella’s castle from the end of Main Street on Christmas Day.

Fritz the Belgium draft horse is waiting for his cue to pull our horse trolley up Main Street.

Can you hear the clip clop of the horse’s hooves on the pavement? That is one of my favorite sounds. Fritz gave us a nice trolley ride, even though we had to stop a few times because people were walking on the tracks.

Finally we were at the castle. Christmas Day at Walt Disney World was going to be extra special.
