Disneyland's Club 33
by Linda S.
Club 33 is an exclusive member's only restaurant located in New Orleans' Square in Disneyland. Originally created as a special place for Walt to entertain his VIP's, it is now a restaurant that serves Club 33 members. A few lucky souls are able to visit Club 33 through reservations made for them by family or friend who are Club 33 members. We had the honor of dining at Club 33 twice, and both visits were simply incredible.
The restaurant, Club 33, was named in honor of the original 33 companies that provided venture capital for Walt to build Disneyland and was created so that Walt could entertain visiting VIP's. It's address, 33 Royal Street, New Orleans Square, and the others surrounding it, were created so that the Club 33 door sign could blend in with the other locations in New Orleans Square, yet still be identified easily by Club members. Walt and his wife traveled to New Orleans to select many of the antiques to decorate the club. Unfortunately, Walt never saw the completion of Club 33. It was completed 5 month after Walt's untimely death. Today, Club 33 has been completely remodeled and all animal trophies removed from the walls of the trophy room. Follow me for a tour of Club 33.
