Our first trip to Disney was when I was 6 years old. I was too afraid to go on Space Mountain, so my sister, father and uncle went on. My dad had no
idea what kind of ride it was and while standing on line inside, he was looking around in amazement. "Look at those lights! It's amazing how they do
that!" my dad said. As they were getting into their "rockets" my uncle turned to my dad and said "Frank, those weren't lights, that's the ride!" My
sister said the entire ride my dad had a hand on my uncle's throat, yelling at him for not telling him what they were getting in to! -- Stacey
When my son was barely 5 years old he wanted to ride Space Mountain. I had only been to Disney World once before (when he was two so we didn't get to ride it) and I didn't know what to expect. He sat in front with me behind him. Once the ride started I realized that it was a roller coaster in the dark! I held on to my child's shoulders the entire time in an effort to keep him calm. I was worried to death thinking, "My poor baby, I know how scared he is!"
When the ride ended and we got off he turned to me and said, "Wow, that was fun! I wonder what planet we're on now!"
I love Disney World!-- Minnie
We took our 4 yr old nephew to WDW. We of course had a wonderful time....but at the same time everyday...my nephew got a little "out of hand".
we did epcot, mk, and mgm.
He "had to have" the ears with the sorcerers hat on them, and he had just gotten them about 5 minutes prior to this happening....we were in Morocco, he
asked me "who lives here?" I told him Aladdin lives here.
as we were strolling along....he decided that I had lied to him, and he continued on with his little chant "no cinny, he doesnt live here, this is stoopid, I wanna go see minnie, lets go, lets go" over and over again.
I reminded him that he had the magic ears (that were taken off 2 minutes after purchase) and that he should wear them and see what magic happens.
well, of course I got the arguments....but only for a bit. He put the ears on and right at that very moment Aladdin himself walked out from behind a
privacy gate right where we had stood to put the ears back on..looked at my nephew, and said "follow me"
Ohhhhhh to have seen his eyes!!! we still had two days left in disney after this happened, and the ears came off AFTER we got back home here in Michigan
Priceless!! -- Cindy W.
Standing in front of the fountain at EPCOT during a wild thunderstorm. I turned around in the downpour to see how everyone else was enjoying the show and found that I was the only one in the entire plaza! -- Roberta
Walking up Main Street with all the other guests for the first time each trip. -- Laurie
Mine would have to be when we walked down Main Street and I had tears in my eyes from watching my kids look around in awe (mouths hanging open) and
they all 5 turned to me saying "Oh thank you, Mom, for bringing us here!!! -- Samantha
When my now 15 year old daughter was 5; we were enjoying an outdoor character breakfast at DL when Erin walked towards me holding Mickey's hand stating "Mickey, I'd like you to meet my mom..." -- disneygal58
