Deciphering TheMouseForLess

Email Addresses

This next installment of Deciphering TheMouseForLess is prompted by recent MFL member troubleshooting. Many people in this day and age of the internet now not only have one email address, but they have three or four or more! If you only have one email address then you can skip the rest of this post, otherwise, read on! I now have two different work email addresses, one special TheMouseForLess moderator email address, two home email addresses and a sixth yahoo email address. What if I want to post to MFL from work? I'm registered with Yahoo under one of my Home email addresses. Yahoo would reject my post UNLESS! ... I create additional "Alternate Posting Addresses" in my Yahoo preferences. This way you can post to MFL from wherever you are under any email address you may have and Yahoo/DLL will recognize you and accept your post. Here is how to add Alternate posting addresses:

- Go to the MFL Yahoo web site at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TheMouseForLess
- In upper right corner click on "My Preferences"
- Click on the second "Edit" button to the right of the Email Addresses section
- Click on the "Advanced Options" link to display 5 empty boxes
- Enter up to 5 additional email addresses, exactly as they would appear in the headers of any emails you would send to MFL - Click on "Save Changes'

BTW, for those that are curious this is how I configured MFL to directly accept the Epcot IBM Postcards into the group. I simply added the email address used by the IBM computers as one of my five alternate addresses and now MFL thinks that any IBM Postcard is coming from me!
