  • If you are heading to Walt Disney World for Easter, here’s what you can expect at the Magic Kingdom:
    • Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny will be hopping into the park on March 14 and meeting every day through March 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Town Square Courtyard.
    • The DJ Dance Party in Tomorrowland will be extended from noon-11 p.m. from March 20- April 2. (The DJ only will take place from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., characters will join from 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.)
    • On March 26 and 27, there will be an Easter pre-parade featuring the infamous Azalea Trail Maids prior to the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. The Azalea Trail Maids will also be meeting in the Town Square throughout the day on March 27.
    • From March 28-31, the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade will be presented twice daily at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
  • Beginning in early April, Epcot Character Spot will add Joy and Sadness, two of the Emotions from Inside Out who help guide young Riley through life. Joy and Sadness will join Baymax, who has been greeting Guests in the newly expanded Epcot Character Spot since December.
  • Beginning March 21, join Minnie and friends dressed in their garden party best in a springtime celebration at Hollywood & Vine called Minnie’s Springtime Dine. Menu items include classic picnic foods with a twist, like refreshing coconut-lavender lemonade and springtime salads like watercress or basil-lime fruit salad. Reservations are now open and can be made by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

  • At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney Outfitters will reopen on March 15 as Discovery Trading Company.
  • Gi-Tar Dan is no longer performing at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
  • This week, the Disney Dining Plans saw price increases. For more information about what you can expect to pay going forward, make sure to visit our Disney Dining Plan Page.
  • As part of a test, beginning March 15, Guests parking at the Magic Kingdom or Epcot will have the option of paying for a premium parking space closer to the park entrance. The charge for the premium parking is $15 above the regular $20 charge.
  • Starting from this week, MyMagic+ touch points located at the merge point of most Walt Disney World attractions will be disabled, meaning that Guests now only have to scan their tickets or MagicBands once. This means that all Guests must touch their ticket media or MagicBand at the Mickey tapstiles at the entrance of each FastPass+ attraction queue.
  • Speaking of MagicBands, Guests now have the option of ordering a complimentary purple MagicBand when placing their MagicBand order prior to their trip.
  • The 2016 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend will be expanded to three days this year. There will be the new Disney Wine & Dine 10K that will debut on Saturday, November 5. In addition, there will be a challenge race called Lumiere’s Two Course Challenge requiring runners to complete both the 10K and the half-marathon. The Wine and Dine Half Marathon will become a morning race and will take place on Sunday, November 6. The Finish Line Party  will occur from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on November 6. The 5K will now take place on Friday, November 4.
  • DisneyQuest at Disney Springs will now see operating hours from 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. daily.
  • At Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort is a brand new aquatic play area for Guests under 48 inches located next to Doubloon Lagoon pool.
  • Guests of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be able to visit the Oasis Pool and Oasis Bar & Grill beginning Thursday, March 17. The pool may see soft openings leading up to March 17. The area will be available for Guests to relax in, while enjoying their favorite tropical snacks, entrees and beverages.
  • ‘Ohana Dinner will now be open to Guests from 3:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. daily.
  • Narcoossee’s is holding a limited-time special event called the Narcoossee’s Wishes Dessert Party at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The event will occur on Fridays in March and Guests can enjoy signature desserts and beverages beginning 30 minutes before Wishes. The party includes desserts such as cannolis, cheesecake, fruit tarts, brownies bites and more! The cost is $59 plus tax per Guest. (Gratuity is included.)
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge has renamed their Night Safari to Starlight Safari. It is now open to all guests, not just those staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. The tour costs $70 plus tax, and is available for ages 8 and above and lasts one hour. Reservations can be made by 407-WDW-TOUR.
