The Beach Club Resort
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is a very beautiful and tranquil place to visit and stay. I traveled there during the Christmas holidays so the Resort was festive and bright inside and out.
Upon arrival I noticed the exterior colors of Disney’s Beach Club Resort hotel has the very soothing light blues with white trim and accents. Fountains adorn either side of the driveway bridge up to the front of the hotel. The lamp posts had garland with multi-colored ornaments and a touch of red bows wrapped around the posts like a stripe on a candy cane, setting the tone to a holiday atmosphere.
Checking in was a wonderful experience. Behind the front desk were various nods to a beach setting. A large gold shell sat on a shelf next to a beautiful picture that had a frame decorated with shells. The lighting was bright enough but not so harsh that it ruined the tranquil tone.
Beautiful Christmas trees with colorful shells and ornaments dotted various places in the front lobby area. In the center was the iconic moving carousel, made entirely of gingerbread. It was fun watching each horse on the carousel go by, noticing that each was unique in its own way. Each had their own name on them and each had specific colors to define its uniqueness. And finding the hidden Mickey’s was fun!

They were everywhere, including the border around the entire carousel, on some of the horses’ backsides and others scattered about.
The lobby is decorated with beach colors and shells gently pressed into the rich rugs and furniture. The lights on the walls are of shell design and some of the chairs have a tall curved back resembling a clam shell effect. Interesting replicas of swimwear of the 1900’s encased in shadowboxes and pictures of beaches adorn the lobby and hallways.
Inside the Resort hotel room, the bedroom colors of coral and blues were subtle yet obvious. Even the cabinet had a small clam shell embedded in it. The bathroom had a new white shower curtain with an assortment of blue shells covering it. Some of the tiles in the shower area also had shells painted on them.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is strategically placed between Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Since Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a bit further, there are Friendship Boats to take passengers to both Parks, with stops at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, and the Swan and Dolphin Resort hotels. Walking to and from the pier to catch the boats I enjoyed the view of the BoardWalk across the water, the sand on the beach front and the surrey bikes whooshing by along the walkway.
This Resort hotel is a must do. If you like the beach, you will love Disney’s Beach Club Resort.
