  • Walt Disney World is officially turnstile free, as now all four parks utilize the touch point entry system exclusively resort-wide.

  • The Holidays Around the World at Epcot is a great edutainment feature at Epcot.  Here, guests get to learn how different countries celebrate the Holiday season.  New this year is the Canadian Holiday Voyageurs, featuring performers from the popular Celtic rock band Off Kilter.   This group will have guests explore a few of Canada’s holiday traditions through music. Included in their sets will be a traditional mummer’s carol, spirited renditions of holiday favorite “The Christmas Jig,”  a medley in celebration of the feast of Le Réveillon, and more.

  • The new gallery in the Norway Pavilion’s Stave Church has officially opened.  Called Norsk Kultur, this new gallery features artifacts that helped to inspire the movie Frozen.  Pieces include: hand-carved artisan furniture, including a carved wooden chair called a kubbestol;a hardanger fiddle, as well as other handmade instruments; a small loom; an authentic hand-made bunad, the traditional costume of Norway;   silver brooches; a men’s Southern Sami outfit; and examples of rosemaling (traditional Norse decorative painting). The artifacts are on loan for the next three years.

  • This week’s Limited Time Magic has guests being able to give back to those who are in need.  If a guests visits Once Upon a Toy or the World World of Disney at Downtown Disney, and donates $5.00, Disney will donate a Duffy the Disney Bear to a child via Toys for Tots.  The Disney company has had a relationship with Toys For Tots for years, when in 1948, Walt Disney designed the famous train logo for the charity.  The logo is still currently used for the charity.
