  • Disney will be seeing a new promotion for 2014.  Known as Show Your Disney Side, guests are invited to show off the side of them that they get in touch with as soon as they step on property.  You know, that super giddy, excited feeling of I’m At Walt Disney World.  Simply put, Disney wants you to bring out the fun in your family! During this new promotion, guests will be invited to show off their Disney Side by using the hashtag #DisneySide in all of their social efforts. For more information about the celebration, find it out here:  http://disneyside.disneyparks.disney.go.com/show-your-disney-side.
  • Disney will be expanding it’s current dining cancellation policy that is being used for many of the character meals and signature dining experiences to all of it’s restaurants.  Starting on October 31, guests will be required to put down a credit card to make their reservation.  Should they need to cancel it, guests must do so before 11:59 pm on the day before the reservation, otherwise they will be charged a $10 per person fee.  Guests may now call 407-WDW-CNCL to cancel a reservation.
  • The Guest Assistance Card which is available for guests who have special needs while visiting the parks is seeing a bit of an overhaul.  The new system will be called the Disability Access Service and will allow guests a return time for one attraction at a time that is based on the current wait time. If the attraction has a wait time that is 10 minutes or less, the guest and the entire party will be granted immediate access to the attraction. If the attraction has a wait time of 10 minutes or more, the guest will give their Disability Access Service card to the cast member standing at the attraction’s entrance where the cast member will then fill in the information on the back of the card with a return time equal to the current wait time minus 10 minutes. (As an example, say the wait time for an attraction is 60 minutes.  The cast member will add a return time of 50 minutes to the back of the card). Only one attraction may be scheduled at a time and the process will need to be repeated to schedule a return time for a second, third, etc attraction. This service can also be used in conjunction with Disney’s FASTPASS and Disney FastPass+ service.  For more information about this new system, please read about it here.
