Are You Heading to the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival This Year?

2013 EPCOT F&W Dates

I don’t know about you, but I think I’m done with the summer heat!  It’s time for me to start thinking about cooler temperatures and the Fall.  Will I truly get to move on?  Probably not, but at least, I can think about a cooler time for a little bit.

My family went to EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival for the first time last year.  Because we had never been before, I read a lot of information before I went.  First, I read up on the booths for the year in the DFB Mini-Guide to the 2012 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival ebook from Disney Food Blog.  {The 2013 version isn’t out yet, but it can be pre-ordered here.  With your pre-order, you will receive the 2012 version AND be sent the 2013 version when it is ready.}

After reading about the different booths and dishes available, we made a list of the booths we wanted to visit.  The most important booth on our list was Terra, a new Vegan booth last year.  We aren’t Vegan, but we are Vegetarian.  So, Terra was the perfect choice for us.

Food and Wine entrees

The nice thing about eating around the world at Food & Wine Festival is that the portions are small.  I know a lot of people like big portions, but during the Food & Wine Festival, small portions are the best.  That way, it is easy to try more things.

So, other than being tired of the summer heat, why would I start talking about the Food & Wine Festival so early?  There is more to the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival than just the food booths around the World Showcase.  There are premium (ticketed) events for everything from wine tastings to desserts and everything in between.  Reservations for these events open at 7 a.m. on August 13, 2013.  That is only a month and a half away.  Do you know what event you would like to reserve, yet?  You can find the list of premium events and other Food & Wine Festival information in our EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Guide.

Maybe you want to go but haven’t made your trip reservations, yet.  If this is the case, you can visit our EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Guide to plan your trip around the event you want to attend.  As more details about the festival are released, we will add it to the festival guide.

Are you ready to plan your Food & Wine trip?
