I talked my son into trying the new menu at Pecos Bill’s in November while we were at MK for MVMCP. We haven’t eaten there in years, preferring Columbia Harbor House. We both got the chicken fajitas, mainly so I could swap parts of the meal with him (he eats lots of chicken, I eat lots of bean and rice). The chicken was surprisingly good, seasoned but not overly spicy. It came with three warm tortillas, black beans and rice. The fixings bar let you customize with cheeses, guacamole, onions, etc. I wish they had small paper cups to take some of the items as I didn’t want to cover my food with something I might decide not to use. Instead I picked up one of the prepacks of salsa and found that adequate for my meal. For dessert we had little churros with chocolate sauce, really fun and quite good. This will definitely be on our meal rotation for our next trip. Good value for a QSDP credit.

They have now added back a burger but I would suggest trying the fajitas, which could be shared if you are a light eater. Also available in beef, plus they have a burrito offered and salads.

General tips: Very budget friendly. Great for families or those pinching pennies.

TheMouseForLess tips: Great place for a family on a budget. My husband & I got the double cheeseburger & order an extra bun (.60). Each then had a burger at a fraction of the cost. Also make full use of the condiment station. I took my french fry container and went up and made a simple salad. Then we used it to get mushrooms with cheese. My husband had mushrooms and onions. We ate a ton of food for under $10. We choose the carrotcake, it was extremely sweet, would pass on that.

Food: – best burgers in Disney

    Service: – friendly cast members

    Atmosphere: – great theming

Be Sure to Try: The Burger Bar – grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and all the fixings make this the best burger at Disney

General tips: Like most counter services, get there before the noon rush.

TheMouseForLess tips: If you are eating before the parade goes by, grab your food and sit in the outside seating area. You can not get any closer to the floats. You have to look up and the angle will not be the best for pictures, but everything is just on the other side of the fence.

Extra_Comment: Does offer kiosk ordering but when I was there no one was using them. So, dont stand in line and get your food a little quicker.

Food: – everything was good except the grilled chicken salad – yuck!

Be Sure to Try: The Peanut Butter Brownie Sundae was good – but rich!

General tips: A great stop on your way back from Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Railroad.

TheMouseForLess tips: share meals – there is too much food for one person to eat alone.

Be Sure to Try: I was not impressed with the food here.

General tips: They get busy at lunch time, we had a hard time finding a place to sit

TheMouseForLess tips: We were on the Dining Plan

Extra Comments: If you are on the Dining Plan, the only dessert they had on the menu was the mousse, which was not very good. I would not eat here again, although I have heard from people that liked it. They do have a big fixins bar for burgers with mushrooms, onions, etc.

Atmosphere: Can get crowded and somewhat hectic during lunch hour

Okay for Children: Yes, children menu offered including hotdogs and chicken tenders

Okay for Couples: Yes, but do not expect anything romantic… this is a quick service restaurant known for its burgers and fries… almost like Disney’s version of Roy Rogers restaurants

Be Sure to Try: The burgers are great and are a good size… they offer sauteed mushrooms at the fixin’s bar so you can make your burger a mushroom burger. If you get anything get the fries… you can add cheese sauce to have cheese fries.

General tips: This quick service restaurant often gets packed during lunch and sometimes during the dinner hour.

TheMouseForLess tips: The portions are on the bigger side. The chicken wrap was bigger than I expected and can be shared if you just want a quick snack. The fact that they offer warm cheese sauce is money saving for those who like cheese fries or extra cheese on their burgers.

Extra Comments: Avoiding this quick service restaurant during the busy times is recommended… when it is crowded it is often difficult to find a table, navigate around inside, and the wait line at the fixin’s bar can be long. The Fixin’s bar is awesome offering complimentary items such as onions, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, hot mushrooms, and hot cheese sauce. The cast members keep the fixin’s bar clean and restocked even during busy times. The service during busy times does seem to keep up with the crowds which is impressive considering how many guests and orders that are going through.

Be Sure to Try: The chicken wraps and the chicken salad are very good. My children did not like the franks and beans at all and they are not picky eaters.

General tips: Realize that both sides of the register take orders. If no one is on one side, go to it!

TheMouseForLess tips: The chicken wraps are huge! My 2 older children split one for lunch.

Extra Comments: They have great condiments for your burgers. Mushrooms, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles. Plus hot cheese sauce for your fries! Yumm!!! This is my favorite counter service in Magic Kingdom!!!!

Atmosphere: – crowded and somewhat loud but lots of tables although they were small tables

Be Sure to Try: The fixin’s bar – FABU!! The sauteed mushrooms were excellent and it was all fresh. Pickles, cheese sauce, sauerkraut…all very tasty (but definitely NOT healthy!)

General tips: We actually got there right at noon, despite trying to make it a little earlier. The lines were surprisingly short and there were plenty of tables towards the back of the seating area, which is pretty big.

Dollarless tips: If you’re not a HUGE eater, the double cheeseburgers could be split, and you get quite a big portion of fries with them as well. I can eat a lot and I couldn’t finish it all! The chili dog was also HUGE, with tons of chili on it.

Extra Comments: The burgers here were very tasty, as was the chili dog. We wanted to check out the fixin’s bar, and one member of our party said it was similar to the fixings bar at a Fuddrucker’s. The park was not at all crowded that day so that’s why we probably got lucky with the low wait at peak time.
