Okay for Children: Definitely. Dancing with characters every 15 minutes.
Okay for Couples: It’s a little too chaotic to suit most adult’s tastes

Be Sure to Try: Perfectly cooked scrambled eggs

General tips: You CAN get a walk up here but I wouldn’t risk it

MouseForLess Tip: It’s a buffet. Fill your plate as often as you like with as much as you like. Lots of variety

Extra Comments: If you get the last seating of the day, it’s more like lunch, and there is no rush to get you out of the restaurant. Extra time with the characters!

We went here Sept. 2011. We went to the Surf’s Up Mickey and Friends Character Breakfast. It was 25.99 for adults and 13.99 for kids.

Characters present when we were there: Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Stitch, Pluto

All you can eat breakfast buffet was really good. They had a big selection of breakfast foods including Mickey waffles and pancakes and a really yummy Banana bread French Toast!

This was a great character meal! The characters spent lots of time with my children. A couple of them even came by the table twice. Every so often they invite the kids up to the stage area to dance with the characters too. Its not rushed at all. Our waiter told us to take as long as we wanted. I liked this meal better than the princess character meal. The princess one seemed very hurried. This one is very relaxed.

We had an 8:10 reservation and we were seated about 15 min. early.

The waiter saw my daughter’s birthday button and brought out a mickey shaped cake and the waitstaff and Daisy sang to her. That was a big hit with her!

I would definately recommend this meal if you are going to fork out the money for a character meal. The food and the character interaction are great! Even though all of the character meals are expensive I think this may be the cheapest one at Disneyland. In my opinion, its a great value.

When: Several times, but most recently in March of 2009

What: Everytime we’ve gone there we’ve eaten the buffet at breakfast time so our kids could enjoy the Lilo and Stitch characters. The buffet has most regular breakfast items like bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, pankakes, etc. And it also has some hawaiian style items as well like Hawaiian style salmon and eggs.

Approximate Price of Entrees: About $100 for three adults, one child and one infant (no charge for infant)

Yes, it is absolutely wonderful for children. It’s bright and colorful, and of course the breakfast character celebration is great for kids.

I can’t think of any reason why couples wouldn’t have fun here, as long as they are okay with eating around lots of children.

Be Sure To Try: Everything is really, really good. The bacon is delicious, my husband loves the hawaiian style salmon.

General Tip: Make sure to have reservations, because otherwise you probably won’t be able to get a table and if you do get one, the wait will probably be longer than you’re willing to spend.

The Mouse For less Tip: Eating here isn’t exactly cheap, but it’s a family favorite everytime we come to Disney. If you have young kids, you have to at least do one character dining experience while at the park, and this is a really fun way to start the day.

Extra Comment: Keep in mind the characters are only there during breakfast time, not lunch or dinner.

    What: Breakfast….character meal!

Approximate Price of Entrees: $10-15 per person (buffet)

Be Sure to Try: All buffet items were great!

General tips: Make PS……depending where you are staying determines when you can get PS. Walk up available. Later breakfast time allows you more personal time with characters.

Dollarless tips: You can add this character breakfast as part of a package, on or off property. Check with your hotel and receive a savings by including it in your package.

Extra Comments: This is “Minnie’s” breakfast so she is there! Characters do dancing with the kids from time to time during the meal.
