We ate here on the day before Thanksgiving. First impression was not good; there was a crowd of people crammed just inside the entrance to check in for their reservations. Why they had such chaos inside the restaurant when they already had a check-in station outside is beyond me. It was difficult for people to get in and out (and as one person in our party commented, probably a fire code violation). We were seated within 15 minutes of our reservation time, which is good. However, it took a few minutes for our waitress to acknowledge us — and then basically to tell us they were out of bread! How can an Italian restaurant be out of bread? In any event we asked for drinks which came out a few minutes later, when we asked what type of soup was available. One of our party wanted to order the pumpkin ravioli–only to be told they were out of them. (Really?? at 6 p.m. on the day before Thanksgiving?) Three of us ordered soup and one ordered the Italian meats and cheese appetizer. We also ordered a pizza to share. Our soup came out and didn’t look appetizing, but was actually very good. However, we were missing having bread or something to eat with it. At that point I asked for the manager who told us that their vendor had shorted them on their bread order that day. (And no one thought to go out and find an alternative source? We saw lots of service people standing around chit-chatting during our meal–send one of them to a grocery store) However, he told us a “treat” was just coming out of the oven–pizza bread made from their pizza crust. It was brought over and was awful. Essentially unseasoned pizza dough that was just barely cooked–almost raw in places. The pizza came and was actually good tasting, but again was a bit undercooked for my tastes. We did get part of the meal comped because of our complaints but we all agreed we would not be back–although the food was good, the chaos at the front door, the shortage of bread and the one entree and the fact that our drinks were never re-filled during dinner was enough to turn us off. We will not be back.

The pizzas here are bigger than they claim to be. We went here with our little one and had plenty of pizza left, can’t remember the exact size of the pizza we ordered but I would maybe get enough for one less than at our table in the future, if even that. Would probably prefer to get a salad and a small pizza for the 3 of us. The pizza by the way was excellent.

What: Skirt Steak, spinach salad 4 cheese pizza; house salad Sausage/tomato pizza Linguini with Clams

Price of Entrees: $120 total for a family of 4

Not much privacy on the first floor

Be Sure To Try: Both pizzas were fantastic. Spinach salad was very good.

General Tip: Had to wait only 15 minutes at 7:30 on the holiday. Not bad. Waitress was very helpful and suggested several things. Upstairs and patio areas looked really nice.

TheMouseForLess Tip: 10% off with annual pass.

Extra Comment: Couldn’t get the pannini I wanted because they only serve those at lunch. Ordered the Linguine with clams instead. What a mistake! Heavy pesto sauce with some mint flavor really put me off. Maybe 10 small clams included–mostly shells. Skirt steak was flavorless and kinda tough.

What: dinner-spaghetti and meatballs for 3 adults and penne for one adult

    Be Sure To Try: Nothing

General Tip: Even though this restuarant can be booked by priority seating through Disney, they will not accept the room card for charging privilages.

Extra Comment: The sause was tasteless, the iced tea was almost clear in color and the mneatballs were hte worst any of has have ever had. Even DH who eats anything refused to eat them. Terrible dinner and I would never eat there again or in good conscience recommend it to my worst enemy.

What: Dinner – Ravioli di Formaggi

Be Sure To Try: Definately the Ravioli di Formaggi

General Tip: I had a reservation for 5 PM, and arrived at 4:55, when I left at 5:30 PM, it was quite busy with people waiting to be seated.

Extra Comments: Absolutely the best service I have ever received in a sit-down restaurant setting, ever. My waitress Katrina was super friendly and attentive, and my order was in front of me in under 10 minutes. The oder size was just right for me, as I was ravenous and was full once I finished.
