We have stayed at Music more than a dozen times and the food court is a big draw for my family. We eat at least one meal per day there or in one of the other All Star food courts, making full use of our refillable mugs and QSDP. Both Sports and Music have had their food courts updated, with new menu items and more modern-looking dining areas. The cheesy but fun music art is gone; the dining room now feels like a giant Panera but still with some Disney touches.

I am not a fan of the multiple lines thing, wishing they had kiosk ordering so you could go to one spot to pick up your meals. But often we agree to eat from the same window. The pizza window also has soup and pasta dishes and you can now mix and match sauces and toppings like meatballs or panko chicken breast. Not as elaborate as the make your own pasta station at Animation, but still a nice improvement. The burger line has chicken nuggets with fries and decent veggie burgers. The main meal line has wonderful turkey and salmon dinners, baked chicken, salads topped with beef, chicken or salmon, and nightly specials, like a chicken pot pie or lasagna. Regular dinners come with a couple of veggie sides and a nice French roll. No one will mistake this for gourmet, but it is usually very tasty and filling, and the salmon is a real bargain, running about $3 less than what I’d pay on the outside for a similar plate.

At breakfast my son prefers Mickey waffles, but the Bounty platter is a favorite of my husband’s. We often add a bagel for him and split the Bounty, giving me half the eggs, the potatoes, the mini-Mickey waffle and the biscuit, while he gets half the eggs and the sausage and bacon with his bagel. Win, win. For a filling breakfast that costs one snack credit, try the biscuits and sausage gravy. For healthy, they also have oatmeal.

The ice cream section now features gelato in several flavors, but you can also get a classic Mickey bar if you prefer. A cold case offers fruit, yogurt, desserts like key lime tart or chocolate cake (my son’s favorite) and beverages, including single serve wine and beer, although the Singing Spirits bar is only a few steps away. I was disappointed that they seem to have discontinued my favorite oatmeal raisin cookie, but they still have great muffins in the bakery case.

The food court opens at 6:00 am and closes at midnight. Not all stations are open early or late, but you could certainly fill your mug and pick up a baked good or fruit to get an early start or a snack before bedtime.

Be Sure to Try: the waffles were great

General tips: this is a great place for a quick meal before the parks or when checking out

TheMouseForLess tips: Get a refillable mug if you are staying at this resort (I did not get one this time, since I had purchased one at PC and did not plan to be at the food court much) Use the DDE card here and I think you can also get an AP discount

Extra Comments: I had misplaced my DDE card during packing and could not find it and the CM gave me the discount on my word (which she did not have to do)
