Okay for Children: You’re kidding, right? This is a kid’s dream. Great character interaction and macaroni and cheese pizza!
Okay for Couples: Yes – but not terribly romantic, but if you’re a kid at heart it’s great

Be Sure to Try: the shrimp ceviche had a nice kick to it

General tips: This place is insanely popular – book it as early as you can

MouseForLess Tip: It’s a buffet. Fill your plate as often as you like with as much as you like.

Extra Comments: Hard to beat the character interaction here.

Okay for Children: YES! Characters, characters, characters!
Okay for Couples: No. This is a loud, celebratory place, not romantic

Be Sure to Try: The salad bar is full of fresh vegetables and fruits, the salmon was cooked perfectly

General tips:Best food of our trip, which is amazing considering this is a character buffet. Make reservations – do NOT try to walk up.

MouseForLess Tip: Unlike the WDW character meals, the photo package costs EXTRA. I think it’s $30.

Extra Comments: If it’s your birthday, don’t go up to the dessert buffet. They will bring you a cupcake!

We have been to Goofy’s kitchen a lot (probably once everytime we go to Disneyland). We usually go for brunch but we went twice for dinner. The best food at brunch is the waffles, eggs Benedict, aNd the biscuits and gravy. For dinner, the food is slightly better than brunch. The best food items at dinner are the salad, the pb and j pizza, the spaghetti and lastly the bread pudding. Characters vary, so you never know who you will see. I do know that goofy is there 100% of the time and 99% of the time Pluto, chip, Dale and most of the time Minnie mouse is in there. When we have gone we have seen goofy, Pluto, chip, Dale, Minnie mouse, Donald duck, terk, baloo, rafiki, Aladdin, jasmine, snow white, Mulan, alice, mad hatter, cinderella, and belle but not all at the same time.

It’s a buffet so don’t expect too much. The food is fairly decent with a good variety. I was disappointed that they have gotten rid of the strawberry compote and whipped cream to put on the waffles, as it is one of my favorite things at the buffet.

The service was amazing, the server came by to refill the drinks without me ever having to ask.

Really what you are paying for is the character interaction. And if you do more than one character meal in a trip, be prepared to see Chip and Dale at all of them. We did :(

We have gone to Goofy’s Kitchen three times in the past four years for the brunch buffet.

Last year, we tried the Surf’s Up Breakfast with Mickey Mouse. At Mickey’s, my husband asked “where’s the dessert buffet?” and my mother asked “where’s the salad bar?” Goofy is a much better cook than Mickey. Goofy’s Kitchen has more variety and fancier food (e.g., smoked salmon in the salad bar).

Although its pricey ($32 for adult brunch), Goofy’s is a lot of fun for my two kids (4 years old and 2 years old) as well as the adults.

If you want to have photo ops and interactions with the characters without waiting in a long line at Disneyland or California Adventure, I would recommend spending the extra money and eating at Goofy’s.

on our resent visit to disneyland park we had planned to go to goofys kitchen for breakfast, expectations were high as we had dined there on two other visits. i know that quality and presentation are high standards to be expected when price dictates. this was not the case on this visit. where was the fabulous fresh fruit bar or was that the apples, oranges, and bananas? fresh and hot biscuits would have been nice instead of the cold hard ones that i had with luke warm gravy.why only one kind of syrup for the pancakes? and where was the condiments for the hot dogs? Then during mid meal we get the ‘pitch’ to purchase the goofy photograph, tacky. the characters were fun, Alice, Mulan,Baloo,Chip and Dale. maybe you could get Mickey, Minnie, and Donald. the service was good and should be. I feel this visit was a disappointment and not a good value. I work hard for my money , i am the sole provider for a family of five. i saved for a long time {six years} to revisit goofys kitchen. i spend my money wisely on good quality entertainment and family vacations. i would like to promote all that Disney stands for but can not recommend goofys kitchen if this is what is to be expected.

We went for the very first time for my granddaughter Dulcinea’s 8th birthday and it was a wonderfully Magical Day! We absolutely loved it!!! I recommend Goofy’s Kitchen to all, if you love eating and having fun. Goofy is an amazing cook. Everything was delicious, there is an omlet station…yummy and they can make egg white omlets too! I am sold. I went back 2 weeks later and took my younger granddaughter Brooke for her 6th brithday, she absolutely loved it.

We took my niece for her 4th birthday this year.
It was pretty expensive (around 160 for 4 adults and 2 kids) but it was well worth it to see her face light up whenever a character came to our table.
We met Goofy, Chip, Dale, Mulan, Fairy Godmother, Baloo, and Pluto.
    Her favorite was Goofy.
I also loved that the kids were able to go dressed up. (she was Minnie Mouse)
The food was good and everyone especially enjoyed the PBand J pizza.

    I would recommend it.
We went on a Tuesday around 10:30 am and it was not full of people and we had virtually no wait time.

We have been to Goofy’s kitchen like 5-7 times now, we love the atmospher. The charACTER quality iS GREAT!!! The food is good also: pbandj pizza, bacon, mickey waffles, and salad bar is really tasty. The characters are great: we saw Goofy of course, pluto, chip, dale, baloo, terk, jasmine, aladdin, alice, mad hatter, snow white, mulan and cinderella, oh and donald. We love it, we have a BLAST EVERY TIME.

    What: Buffet dinner

    Price of Entrees: Too much

Wouldn’t recommend it. Too noisy. Food like you get at a fast food restaurant.

Be Sure to Try: Fresh melon was okay

General tips: Stay as far away from the main traffic as possible

    TheMouseForLess tips: None.

Extra Comment: Will never eat there again. Food was tasteless. Even the pastries were on the stale side. We ate a lot of fruit.

    What: Breakfast…
we ate buffet items and we were full on buffet selections alone! We had pancakes, waffles, peanut butter and jelly pizza, scrambled eggs, pot roast, rice, potatoes, lemon bars, fruit, and more!

absolutely perfect for kids! The characters actually come around to all the tables and visit, let you take pictures with them, will sign an autograph for you..They are amazing! Every 15 or 20 minutes there is an “event” such as baking a cake (not actually a real cake) but Goofy comes out of the kitchen with his cart that has all these tools on it (like plastic coffeemate style containers sealed with little beads inside to make sounds) and the kids all shake the stuff in the bowl, help him stir it, and then voila it gets flipped upside down and theres a cake. Another time they brought out little pots and pans and wood spoons etc and the kids all gathered around to make music with him. It was wonderful!

Be Sure to Try: Peanut butter and jelly pizza! Oh my goodness..it sounds eewww…but trust me, it is the most amazing thing you will ever eat!

General tips: Definitely make a reservation if it is during a “tourist” season like in the summer. Bring your camera and camcorder! And if you have pictures of yourself printed with characters these are wonderful to take with and get them autographed by them!

TheMouseForLess tips: I believe AAA members get a discount.

    When: More than 20 times

    What: Breakfast buffet always

Be Sure to Try: the dessert area first before you fill up on the hot items, there are many delicious desserts that you will wish you tried before you were too full!

General tips: You can call up to 60 days in advanced of your visit. You must have reservations to be a happy family. When we are waiting for our names to we call we see tons of people trying to get walk in reservations with wait times of 1 to 1/2 hours. Please call in advance:-)

TheMouseForLess tips: We recommend making your reservation for a late breakfast, around 10 am, that way you will be there when the buffet starts changing to the lunch buffet and you will get to try both menus! Get your fill of breakfast then go back and try all of the lunch items that are brought out after 10:30. Two for the price of one!

Extra Comments: Our favorite thing to do is to eat at Goofy’s Kitchen on the last morning before we leave for the airport. That way, we are so full that we are not tempted at all to eat the airline food. Our stomachs are nice and happy until we arrive at our home destination. My mom is a waitress at a 5 star hotel breakfast buffet and we took her to Goofy’s Kitchen for breakfast. She absolutely LOVED it! She liked it better than her hotel’s buffet. We highly recommend this restaurant. We are finally going to try the dinner here this month. Will come back and review that then.

General tips: Make priority seating for this character meal, this one tends to be the busiest & best one!

    TheMouseForLess tips: Don’t have any

Characters are everywhere and give individualized attention. From time to time music plays and all the characters gather with the kids and dance togeter- CUTE! Seating can be “cozy”, and being rather expensive, it is not wall to wall kids. You still get to meet the characters!

Be Sure to Try: LOTS of desserts, prime rib…..all was great.

    General tips: Call for PS

Dollarless tips: These are character meals: to get the most for your money, go for dinner instead of breakfast! (Most) Everyone eats more at dinner than breakfast!

Extra Comments: There is a “professional” photographer when you enter that will take a picture with a charater. Bring your camera and take your own to save $$. Also- GREAT characters available: Cinderella, Goofy, Pluto, Max, Turk… it was wonderful to have a princess stop by your table, then dance with you when the music began!
