We have made Cosmic Rays a tradition upon our arrival to the Magic Kingdom.

We typically fly in at noon – and get to the park to enjoy the Disney magic as soon as possible.

Cosmic Rays allows us to hit a few rides before eating and provides us a good location with good food for our dinner.

This is our favorite MK quick service restaurant for a couple of reasons:
    1. The variety of food it offers is outstanding.
    2. The toppings bar allows everyone to really customize their sandwiches.
    3. The futuristic decor and atmosphere is lots of fun.

Our personal favorite (adults) are the burgers and my kids love the chicken nuggets.

Be Sure to Try: The wrap my wife and I split was pretty tasty and easily filled us up. We split 2 orders of chicken nuggets (4 nuggets per plate) between 3 kids (9, 7, & 4) while the other had a PB&J (6)

General tips: This place was packed when we arrived – lunchtime. We were able/lucky to get an outside table with a remarkable view of Cinderella’s Castle. Trying to get a table inside is a feat within itself. You must already have your food and wait in a line in order to sit near the animatronic show. And you will only get a table in this area as soon as another family/couple leaves. Good Luck!

TheMouseForLess Tip: Make sure you get the carrots AND grapes for the kids side dishes. We had to politely remind the staff that the meal came with both. The PB&J is just an uncrustable sandwhich that you can purchase at your local grocery store. We elected to eat in the park for lunch and we paid the price!

Extra Comments: We carried only our prepaid Disney gift card, park tickets, and I.D.s for the trip. This worked out very well because we did not have to search for anything. We would recommend packing your lunches so you do not have to wait in a meal-line, you already spend enough time in the attraction-lines.

Okay for Children: Absolutely. Watching Sunny Eclipse was a pleasant way to wait out the rain.

Okay for Couples: Not exactly a romantic hot spot!

Be Sure to Try: The no-sugar-added brownie was rich and chocolately, not like the cardboard I was expecting.

General tips: You could also use a snack credit for French fries, yogurt, and soft drinks here.

TheMouseForLess Tip: We were here at 11:40 AM and it was packed, probably because it was pouring rain out.

Extra Comments: This was the only indoor place in Tomorrowland we could find where we could use our snack credits.

Be Sure to Try: Ribs dinner.

General tips: They have a few “stations” where you can purchase food. It’s separated by the type of food. Go to the station that serves chicken-they sell ribs as well.

Extra Comments: We went there initially to watch our High School Band play on stage. (others perform as well) Several of us had commented how we wanted a “normal meal” and not fast food. The ribs/mashed potatoes and fresh green beans fit the bill. The ribs came right off the bone and were delicious, and the veggies were a welcome change to french fries! One of the best meals I had on my visit.–My friends had the chicken/ribs combo and could barely finish. They found the taste of the food to be exceptional.

Food: – Good chicken but only 3 ribs

    Service: – no issues found

Atmosphere: – Sitting with Sonny Eclipse is fun but needs to be updated

Okay for Children: Yes – children love the audioanimatronic Sunny Eclipse. He does have some jokes aimed towards adults too if you listen.

Okay for Couples: Yes – but again, just a plain building with a singing audioanimatronic

Be Sure to Try: Chicken is very good. Not as good as Sunshine Seasons in Epcot but very close.

General tips: Must arrive before the noon rush to get a seat in the area to listen to Sunny Eclipse.

Extra Comments: This counter service does not have a good layout because of the three different “Bays” to order food. If someone wants chicken and one wants burgers, you have to stand in two seperate line and pay at different locations. Must plan ahead before ordering.

Okay for Children: Yes, its in a good location to stop for a quick bit when traveling between lands or waiting for your Fast Pass times on those fun new rides in the area.

Okay for Couples: Yes, it is REALLY not for anyone looking for quiet or romance, but a couple looking for enough good food to be full for long a afternoon in the park would be happy with this.

Be Sure to Try: Sugar Free brownies are the BEST!!!

General tips: Look for Push as your going in and out. We saw him as we were heading in and he is GREAT fun!!

TheMouseForLess tips: Split a meal!!! Especially if you have kids!!

Extra Comments: Make sure you check all of the menus, each section has different offerings and we didn’t notice that the first trip.

Be Sure to Try: The toppings bar was great – it is kept so neat and the items were FRESH! No wilted lettuce here. :)

General tips: Try to sit in the main dining room. The entertainment is fun!

TheMouseForLess tips: DH has a big appetite, but DS and I should have considered splitting the meal

Extra Comments: We chose a late lunch – so the restaurant was not so crowded. We had great seats for the “show”. Unfortunately, I think Sonny is set at one volume level which works well for a crowded room.

Be Sure to Try: The chicken was pretty good

General tips: We sat outside which was nice

TheMouseForLess tips: The rotisserie chicken was split between 2 adults

Extra Comments: You have to order Burgers at one station, chicken at another station and sandwiches at another station, Very inconvenient if everyone in your party wants something different
