DD and I ate here Oct. 23,2010. We kind of stumbled across this just as we were looking for dinner. Read the menu and found they served fish, something different from the typical CS menu of burgers, chicken nuggets, & pizza. DD and I both got the fish basket with fries. Food was good, it is deep fried, so if someone was looking for a “healthy” version, this was not it. We were on the QS dining plan, so I did not pay much attention to the cost. I was glad this was considered a QS restuarant.
It was VERY crowded when we went, so the line was long and a long wait to get our food. They did have every register opened and a ton of people working. Getting a table was nearly impossible. I could not send DD looking for a table or leaving her at one by herself as you could not see from the crowds of people while I was in line. We ended up going upstairs to sit, which again very crowded. Finally found a seat, table was not cleaned off.
I guess my 2 complaints about the place, is #1 they did not have nearly enough people cleaning the tables off and restocking/cleaning the condiment stations. Next visit, I will try and go during an “off” time like a late lunch or early dinner. And #2 complaint, is that they should have fish on the kids menu. I ended up using 2 adult QS credits b/c DD wanted fish, instead of using 1 adult, 1 child.
Overall good food, good fish and it will be on our QS place to eat next trip.

Columbia Harbour House is a must stop for me every trip. When I was there in January of this year I went twice – truly enjoyed the fried shrimp which were new since my last trip there. Have in the past enjoyed the fried fish, the chicken and in cool weather the chowder. We regulars all seem well aware of the go upstairs if the place is crowded rule – I do try to time things for off hours just because i sometimes feel you get better food and service (yes even at the quick serve places) if they aren’t rushing so hard to serve so many

My family and I always eat here at least once during our trip. For our trip this past Labor Day week, we ate there twice.

We’ve always found that this is an easy place to share meals with the kids. We would get a chicken or fish basket, and there was always plenty enough for the four of us (my boys are 5 and 3).

However, on this trip, my husband and I were on Weight Watchers, so I ordered the Lighthouse (hummus and broccoli slaw) sandwich and my husband ordered the Anchors Aweigh (tuna) sandwich. We both loved the whole grain bread our sandwiches were served on. We were given chips on the side, and I think I would have preferred the option of grapes, carrot sticks, etc. It likely would have been possible to make the swap, but it wasn’t advertised the way they are on the children’s menus.

As for the restaurant itself, our favorite place to sit is upstairs. There are some good views from the window tables, and it is rarely crowded there. There is a condiment station there, which is very convenient.

I have no doubt that we will continue to visit this Columbia Harbour House on our WDW trips.

Our family ate here in June 2011. We all absolutely loved it. I had the Fish basket. It was very good. I do not eat a lot of fried food and this was good and not to greasy. My husband had the shrimp and fish basket and he liked it very much. My son had chicken and we all tried his and loved it. Everything was great and very reasonably priced. We used the dining plan but would have paid the menu price without question. It was worth it. We will go back again! We had a great view while eating – we sat upstairs.

Columbia Harbour House is a MUST for our entire family when considering a counter service restaurant at Magic Kingdom.

While it is a little darker than most counter service restaurants, Columbia Harbour House keeps up with the Liberty Square theme perfectly. It has the same counters to place your order as Pecos Bill and Pinocchio Village Haus, but is not always as crowded so there is less of a balancing act. I know I’m giving away a bit of a secret here, but it is rarely crowded. And if the downstairs looks daunting, there is ample seating upstairs.

We have VERY picky eaters in our family and Columbia Harbour House satisfies everyone. Chicken nuggets for the boys and macaroni and cheese for the princess. For the adults, we are torn between the clam chowder, chicken nuggets and fried shrimp. I can honestly say we have never had a bad meal at Columbia Harbor House.

During the holiday parties, Columbia Harbour House is a fantastic option for dinner. Just beware, it closes early before the Christmas party and becomes a location for hot chocolate and cookies.

Try Columbia Harbour House and I promise you will not be disappointed!

Service: Usually good, even when crowded, which can happen at peak times.

Be Sure to Try: Lighhouse hummus and Anchors Away tuna sandwiches. My husband and I often order one of each and swap halves so we don’t have to choose just one. Our son sticks with the chicken fingers as at most places, but I did try the shrimp dinner last year and thought it was excellent.

General tips: Try to avoid peak hours; sit upstairs if you are up to the climb, for a quieter dining experience. If you sit over the walkway between Liberty Square and Fantasyland, you can people watch while you eat. Look around at the maps and other decorative items, as this is a really attractive restaurant for a CS place.

MFL Tips: Remember that you can order ice water here to drink if you are not on DP and want to save money. Yogurt is offered for dessert which can make a nice small meal for a child or light eater.

Extra Comments: A wonderful choice if you don’t want fried food but someone else in your party does, or if you have a vegetarian in the group. The hummus sandwich and veggie chili means non-meat eaters will be very satisfied. CHH is a must on every WDW trip for our family.

I cannot tell you how many trips we’d taken to WDW before we even noticed the Columbia Harbor House but since that time, it is a must for us when we do counter service in the Magic Kingdom. On our last trip in December 2010, we enjoyed lunch there and one of the things that I love most is that the menu is so different than the standard burger and fries. I love their tuna sandwich and my husband always gets the fried fish basket.

This is by far the least crowded place to eat in the Magic Kingdom and most people aren’t even aware of the seating upstairs! It’s a great place to just sit and relax with relative peace and quiet while having fast food.

Then, later on that night, it became one of the places to get your free treats during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! Again, we took advantage of the spacious seating and relaxed while our boys went and road Splash Mountain and Big Thunder for the third time.

The service is always great here, the food has yet to disappoint and to get away from the fast food/burger fare, you can do no better in MK than Columbia Harbor House.

Hubby and I tried this last winter for the first time and we loved it. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The service was very nice, too……a CM had us sit down and then brought our trays to us when ready. We were downstairs and it was fine there. We will definitely go again as the food was good and the decor was nice and next time we will check out the upstairs!

I found my new favorite sandwich here. It is a hummus and tomato sandwich on multi grain bread. They also have fish and chips and other options. The nice place about Columbia Harbor House is that there is plenty of seating on the main floor and upstairs combined. It can get busy around meal times so plan on eating off peak time to avoid the crowds

Be Sure to Try: Hummus sandwich and clam chowder and shrimp

General tips: Across from the Haunted Mansion. Not crowded even during lunch time. Food was great. Everyone liked what they ordered.

Be Sure to Try: Lighthouse Sandwich

General tips: Can’t make reservations but avoid meal times by a short time and the lines are shorter. Plenty of seating – just head upstairs.

Mouse For Less Tip: Use counter service dining plan – very cheap, especially for the little kids.

Be Sure to Try: Garden Harvest Salad was great. It was a nice change to the chicken cesar that is offered at most other places.

General tips: It gets a little crazy and slow around peak lunch times.

Extra Comments: We some how over looked this place on our many other trips and in a moment of hunger and trying to get out of the parade crowd we stumbled into this place. It is now on our list of “must eat here” for all of our trips to come.

Be Sure to Try: All of it was really really good!

General tips: We hadn’t had breakfast and wanted a light lunch so we waited until 10:30 when it opened and went in, thinking no one would be there! While it was relatively empty, they were still just getting the cash registers and everything open, so there was some confusion. But there were plenty of tables, downstairs and upstairs, so no worries about finding a seat this early. This being our first time I couldn’t tell you if the food is better this early, but everything was SO fresh!

TheMouseForLess tips: This meal was a great, fulfilling meal. We weren’t stuffed, but the 1/2 sandwich and cup of soup were more than satisfying. If you’re looking for a meal other than standard burger and fries we totally recommend this place and it will now be on our list for every visit.

Extra Comments: We are not NE Clam chowder connoisseurs in any way, although Jen is pretty picky. This was really very, very good! Creamy and tasty…nice amounts of clams (NOT the most tender clams I’ve ever had but definitely NOT chewy). We’ve only been home a few weeks but I’ve craved this meal ever since! Aside from the great food, we saw something that we’d never experienced before. Apparently a family of three was the first in line for the day and they received a certificate, got their picture taken with a server and also received a “front of the line” pass for any attraction that day, to be used once….pretty cool we thought!

Be Sure to Try: DH said the fish was better than Harry Ramsdens in UK (EPCOT) and that’s a HUGE compliment from my fried fish expert LOL But he wasn’t so keen on the apple pie. He had forgotten that US recipes add cinnamon (this pie was very strong) and he isn’t keen.

General tips: We ate for Brunch 11.04am. The place was more or less deserted and we were able to pick a table in a corner which was lovely.

TheMouseForLess tips: Having had no breakfast and lots of exercise and fresh air we were really hungry and managed to eat it all but felt very full afterwards. Another time we could have shared one entree.

Service: We had to wait a long time for our food, and they were not that busy.

Be Sure to Try: I enjoyed my salad. It had plenty of chicken in it, as well as a few surprises like pineapple bits and pecans. Dh liked his fish.

General tips: We sat downstairs, but there is a dining room upstairs that you can use. It’s supposed to be nicer and quieter up there.

TheMouseForLess tips: The chocolate milks are large. They come in Nestle bottles. Sometimes you can ask for 2 cups and have your kids share one milk.

Extra Comments: This is a nice place to take refuge if the park is getting hot and crowded.

Be Sure to Try: I really love the chicken fingers here.

General tips: I know this has been said many times, but definitely sit in the upstairs dining room. It’s much less crowded, and much more peaceful.

TheMouseForLess tips: Split the sodas here, they’re too much for one person.

Extra Comments: We all really love the Columbia Harbour House for the combo baskets, and eat here at least once on every trip.

Food: very good for this kind of thing, not fast-foody at all! And they have malt vinegar, a necessity with fish and chips.

Service: they really can’t be very chatty, but service is quick!

Atmosphere: nicely decorated, pretty view out the windows, surprisingly cozy for counter service.

Be Sure to Try: Sit upstairs. Nice quiet dining room, pretty view. We went during off hours in the off season, and there was hardly anyone up there at all. Also, nice and warm up there with the sunshine–good on a cold day!

General tips: We got a chicken strips meal w/fries and a fried fish meal w/fries, and then fed John from that rather than getting a kid’s meal. Also, we split one drink, which always saves a good bit–John hardly touches his drinks, and Steve and I can easily share one.

Extra Comments: MFL comments led me here, and I was sure glad! Nice place!
