You must try the Monte Cristo! The pommes frites are just as delicious. Kids loved the mac and cheese. Waiters are very friendly, but this is more an adult restaurant. We have 5 kids and it wasn’t their favorite place, but it’s probably mine. Bon Apetite.

So I suppose I should have know that since it’s New Orleans style food it was going to be spicy but I didn’t. And my daughter is not big on spicy food. Her salad (the “Cresent City” Chicken Salad did not have a description of being spicy (which in my opinion any spicy item should have). I tried the salad myself and I love spicy food and I found it to be fairly spicy. But what bothered me was the servers attitude about it. She talked to us like we were stupid for not knowing. She did however offer to replace the item with something else which I thought was very nice.

We have the pommes frites which were AMAZING! And I had the Monte Cristo, which I was hesitant to try because I had only had one once before (somewhere else) and it was awful. But it was really good and HUGE. It could easily be split between two people.

The tables are outside and have a nice view. Even though it was a warm day, it was chilly that evening. So I ended up shivering through the meal! So if you are going on a cool night make sure you bring a jacket, my sweatshirt wasn’t enough.

What: Dinner, Monte Cristo Sandwich. Also had some beignets from my friends.

Price_of_Entrees: $17.99 plus tax and tip

Be Sure To Try: Monte Cristo, unless you are watching your cholesterol or a very strict diet.
The beignets. While you can now get at the Mint Julep bar, here they come with berry syrup and icing to dip in!

General Tips: If you can, make reservations. It’s a fairly small restaurant and long lines for seating are always present. I went with friends during what’s normally off season in the late evening w/o reservation, and we still waited at least half an hour.

Extra Comments: Unless you’re a huge eater, the Monte Cristo can be split between two people. Nevertheless, I recommend walking a few laps around the park to compensate the sandwich.

We have had lunch her a few times. Once we even caught the Tiana show while we ate, that was great.

    I absolutely love the ratatouille.

The food was great. My family and I were happy to eat here. We had chicken crepes,New orleans gumbo,Pommes Frites, and Cresent City Salmon Salad. I would recomend this resturant for all types of families. When I come back to Disneyland, I’m going to try differents things off the menu. Come to Cafe Orleans. You wont be disappointed!!!!!!

What: We both had the same thing to eat. Ice tea, Gumbo and a Monte Cristo Sandwich

Price_of_Entrees: Total price $49 plus tip

We been here several times and its always great. but that last time we got our Appatizers before our drink. You could people watch outside. Great for a couple if you make reservations for 7:30 since your are the last to be seated, and last to leave. great place to unwind and talk

Be Sure To Try: Great Gumbo. your asking for a heart attack if you eat the Monte Cristo, but we just love it.

General Tips: always sit outside, and if its a bit crowded make sure to call and make reservations. we didn’t make reservations on my B-day (middle of summer) so we didn’t get to eat here.

TheMouseForLess Tips: not the place to eat if your on a budget.

Extra Comments: during the summer or Fantasmic time, make reservations for 7:30 since your are going to have a great view for the show.

What: Lunch, Kids had the Spaghetti kids meal with chicken and me and my husband had the Monte Cristo Plate.

    Price_of_Entrees: $75 for 4

Be Sure To Try: Salad nothing else…You can’t mess up the lettuce.

General Tips: I would not go back there, I would rather eat a hot dog or corn dog.

Extra Comments: The Monte Cristo came with grapes for the side. Paid 15.99 for a Sandwich. The Monte Cristo was good but I have had better at Disneyland. The kids meals that we ordered were terrible, terrible. The chicken was so dry my son choked on it and the Spaghetti had no flavor. We paid 7.99 for Grapes. i will not go back there ever again.

What:breakfast around 10:00 am. Quick service. Delicious breakfast. Creole Eggs Benedict – my husbands favorite benedict ever. My kids had the kids waffle breakfast. I had the adult waffle breakfast. Both came with a cup of fresh fruit and bacon. The waffles were excellent. I had to share my last waffle between my kids because they liked them so much. Kids breakfast also came with a large cup of juice in a mickey cup.

    Price_of_Entrees: $33 for 4 of us to eat (2 adults, 2 kids)

We sat out on the patio. It was perfect for the morning. Shaded and cool.

Be Sure To Try: Creole Eggs Benedict
    Waffles

What: Breakfast: Husband got the eggs and potatos, I got the mini waffles with side of eggs and applewood smoked bacon

    Price of Entrees: $32.00

These portions are perfect to share with a small child who doesn’t eat much but can pick off your plate. We ate there first thing in the morning and it was very quiet and relaxing.

Be Sure To Try: The old fashion potatos and eggs was really good with all the veggies mixed into it. And the mini Mickey waffles were very tasty with the applesmoked bacon.

General Tips: Great sit down breakfast. You will be paying as if you were at a normal restaurant, so go expecting to be charged at least $25 – $35 for the breakfast.

What: Dinner, pommes frites, and monte cristo sandwiches

Any area in disneyland of course is great for kids.

Be Sure To Try: Not sure about any of the rest of the menu but our sandwiches were probably one of the worst we have ever had.

General Tips: Don’t eat at this restaurant or if you do steer clear of the greasey monte cristo sandwiches.

TheMouseForLess Tip: Expensive!!! but everything in the park is.

Extra Comment: Fifty dollars for one of the worst meals me and my wife have ever had. The sandwiches dripped grease and the turkey and ham seemed like something you would not buy at a grocery store.

If you are not in the mood to feel sick for the rest of your day don’t eat here. Try one of the many vendors in the park, you will save and be much happier.

What: Dinner, Seafood crepe, chicken gumbo crepe, kids macaroni & cheese plate, Micky-shaped beignets for dessert

Approximate Price of Entrees: $55 for entire family, including tax & tip

My kids (ages 3 & 7) loved the kids plate and ate everything. Price is reasonable and it’s a nice sit-down restaurant, makes for a nice break from a busy day of walking around.

Be Sure To Try: The beignets were awesome! It was enough for our entire family to share – it had 5 pieces sprinkled generously with powdered sugar. The sauces that accompanied the beignets were so good. My daughter kept saying that the vanilla sauce tasted like melted vanilla ice cream.

General Tips: Don’t forget to show your annual passes for a discount, you save 10%.

TheMouseForLess Tip: If your kids are not big eaters, I suggest you have them split their meal. Our waiter was nice enough to bring them 2 drinks and counted the 2nd drink as a “refill.”

Extra Comment: This is a nice family-friendly sit down restaurant. The food is good & price is reasonable. We highly recommend.

Be Sure to Try: The Beignets are wonderful.

General tips: Outside seating is great to keep children entertained. Inside seating is much more quiet if you want a little rest from the busy day.

TheMouseForLess tips: If you have an annual pass, be sure to tell the cast member in order to get your discount.

Extra Comments: the Monte Cristo here was a bit too sweet, quite different from the ones made at Bleu Bayou in the same area.

Be Sure to Try: Pommes Frites and gumbo

General tips: fries are cheap and fill you up. It is a great place to sit down, rest, and stay cool for a while and have an inexpensive snack in the park.

TheMouseForLess tips: Share a monte cristo or order a cup of soup each and share a few orders of fries

Extra Comments: the onion soup is icky but the gumbo is great!! :)
