Reviews of Disney's Beach Club Resort The Beach Club combines the casual comfort of a beach-front location with the luxuries of a Disney Deluxe resort. It’s a favorite among guests for its cozy atmosphere, its many services and amenities, its access to fine dining, and its excellent (and extensive) sandbottom pool. And you can’t beat the location: the Beach Club is within easy walking distance of Epcot and the BoardWalk, as well as its “sister resort,” the Yacht Club.

The Beach Club is awesome! I love the look of the new rooms, and you can’t beat it’s location. Being able to walk to both Epcot and the Hollywood Studios is a huge plus. It also gives you a ton of meal options.

And then there is Stormalong Bay. This is the best pool on property!

What can I say other than I love Disney’s Beach Club for its location to my favorite theme park at WDW (Epcot), superb amenities, large spacious rooms, and service.

The resort underwent a light refurbishment in 2010 with new bedding giving the decor a softer feel. Rooms have two queen beds with a day bed accommodating a 5th adult guest. Bathrooms are well appointed with two sinks outside of the room housing the shower and toilet. Be sure to request nightly turn down service for an added touch each evening with chocolates left on your pillow and your bed turned down.

Stormalong Bay is the resort’s mini waterpark shared with Disney’s Yacht Club. With a sand bottom, large waterslide, waterfalls, lazy river and whirlpools it is by far the best swimming pool at any WDW resort.

The resort has a full service dining venue, Cape May Cafe that is one of the more popular and fun character breakfasts – make sure you try the cheese blintzes! At night it becomes and old fashioned clam bake. Beaches & Cream is another full service restaurant where you can enjoy such traditional fare as burgers, hot dogs, onion rings and fries. And save a lot of room for the delicious ice cream treats – my favorite is the No Way Jose sundae! Coupled with the options at Disney’s Yacht Club and Disney’s Boardwalk there may be no better overall options for dining and entertainment at any other Walt Disney World resort.

Location! Location! Location! Disney’s Beach Club is in one of the best locations of all Disney resorts. On our last stay we were at the very far end of the resort with a 5 minute walk to Epcot – looking out of our room we could enjoy Illuminations and see the iconic structures of World Showcase over the tree tops. Boat tenders transport guests quickly to Disney’s Hollywood Studios while motor coach service takes guests to the other theme park and Resort destinations.

A near perfect rating for a near perfect Disney resort!

Don’t Miss: Stormalong Bay!!! The pool was outstanding. The lazy river, hot tubs, whirlpool (a real whirlpool) and slide. The slide was closed for 3 days but we enjoyed it while it was open. We also did the Cape May character breakfast and it was great – good character interaction and good food. At night, they show movies on the beach and for a small fee, you can have s’mores at the campfire. Good park transportation. We enjoyed a quick boat trip to the Boardwalk and watching Epcot’s fireworks nightly from the pier. It was very nice to be able to walk to Epcot and especially, to be back in the room only 10 minutes after the end of Illuminations, instead of an hour wait and bus ride back to other resorts. Art the Greeter was so nice as were the majority of cast members.

Room Location Suggestion: A water view if you can afford it.

The Mouse For less Tip: Eat breakfast in your room, there is a mini fridge for milk, etc.

Comments: Our only 2 negatives regarding this resort is that there is no food court (the gift shop has a VERY limited selection of sandwiches and breakfast items) and we were disappointed with Beaches and Cream. We were really looking forward eating there and should have just stuck with ice cream. We ate lunch and for 2 adults and 2 children, the bill came to $73 with tip! Plus, the service was terrible – it took an hour and 45 minutes for our “fast food”. The server dropped glass dishes twice, the second time a piece of glass hit my husband’s arm (we were 3 tables away) and the management didn’t seem too concerned. We also had a “glass incident”at the pool. Someone dropped a glass which shattered. When the lifeguard was told, they swept up the glass they could see but didn’t vacuum and there were still little shards around. BUT the positives far outweigh the negatives and we will definitely stay there again!
