When you get in trouble and you don’t know right from wrong
Give a little whistle! Give a little whistle! – Jiminy Cricket
Q. We are going to Walt Disney World and have our Magic Bands ready and loaded. We have FastPass+ for Illuminations and the Main Street Electric Parade at Magic Kingdom which gives us preferred viewing for both. Do you happen to know where those areas are for FastPass+ viewing? Thank you so much! (Submitted by Roxanne W.)
It sounds like a wonderful trip is planned for your family!
So, all this FastPass+ testing can be confusing, right? The thing to remember is that Disney is currently still in the testing process with this new system, so things can (and do) change at the drop of a hat.
I can tell you that I do know where the current (as of now) FastPass+ areas are for all the nighttime spectaculars. Each of the FastPass+ designated areas for nighttime spectaculars all offer great views.
At the Magic Kingdom, the reserved area for Main Street Electrical Parade is in the Hub area in front of Cinderella Castle. For Wishes, guests will stand in the Rose Garden area to the right of Cinderella Castle. At Epcot, the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth viewing area is in the World Showcase Plaza, which can be found in between the two gift shops. Finally, a center section is reserved for Fantasmic! over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Keep in mind that you should still arrive to these spots a little early. Don’t wait until 5 minutes before showtimes. My suggestion would be no later than 20 minutes prior to the show (and possibly a bit earlier if you really care about where your spot is).
I hope you have a MAGICAL vacation!
