Q. Which FASTPASS would be the first one you would grab at each park? (Submitted by Ramona P.)
A. Wow, Ramona, that’s a tough one. We really don’t think there’s a wrong answer to that question based on what you and your family enjoy.
That being said, we’ll give it a shot with our answers. Let us know what you think.
At Animal Kingdom, we would likely go for Expedition Everest. That ride is amazing and the wait can tend to be quite long. Our second runner-up would be the Kilimanjaro Safari.
At Hollywood Studios, we would definitely go for Toy Story Mania. Sometimes even the FASTPASS line looks like it needs a FASTPASS line.
At Epcot, hmmmm, it’s a tough call between Soarin’ and Test Track, but we think the scale tips in Soarin’s favor just a little bit.
And finally at Magic Kingdom, that’s the one we aren’t sure about. All of the Mountains have their appeal. If it’s a really hot day, we’d opt for Splash Mountain. But Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad would have to duke it out any other day.
We hope that helps. Have a great trip!
Q. I am planning a tentative trip to the World for Oct of 2012. I have read that a new value resort is due to open next year featuring many family suites. In the past, Disney offers free dining for a duration, so if it’s offered again next year, which would be the included free dining plan at this resort? Will it be quick service or the traditional dining plan? (Submitted by Sonja A.)
A. Sonja, if only we had a crystal ball to know what discounts would be released, we’d share it with all of our readers.
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is the resort you are thinking of that will open some time in 2012. No date, or even month, has been announced for reservations to begin. That being said, it will be a value resort. There are slated to be 1,120 suites and 864 standard rooms.
Based on the history of the free dining promotion, we would guess that if free dining is offered in 2012, it will likely be a quick-service option at the value category resorts. Last year, the quick-service option was offered at the values with free dining. There was an option to pay an additional fee for the regular dining plan. As to what the dates that this offer may be available, there really isn’t any way to tell.
At this point, we would suggest you book your package when the 2012 packages are available for dates that work for you. It could then be adjusted, within the terms of your booking, if and when a better option comes along. Good luck!
