Do you have a Disney dilemma? Are you wondering about a certain attraction? Are you curious about a resort or a cruise? Give us a little whistle and we’ll help you sort out how to handle it. Questions should be sent to whistle@magically-speaking.com. If your dilemma is trip-related, please include when you will be traveling.

Q. Hi there. We are wanting to start planning a trip to WDW in March for our daughter’s birthday. Do you know of any dining deals or other specials that may run during that time? Also when do you think a good time to start making reservations for restaurants would be? I heard they have increased the days out you can reserve now. Thank you! (Submitted by Kathy G.)

A. Kathy, currently Walt Disney World has two fantastic offers for guests.

Now through March 27, 2010 (some blackout dates do apply), guests can book Magic Your Way packages at a moderate or deluxe resort for 4 nights and get 3 nights free. Similarly, guests who book 5 nights at a value resort get 2 nights free. You can find out more details on all current Walt Disney World resort specials here.

Also, Disney has a new promotion beginning on January 1, 2010, that promotes community service. By giving a day of service, guests can then get a day of free admission to either Walt Disney World or Disneyland. Specific details regarding the promotion can be found here: Give A Day, Get A Day.

As for your meal reservations, beginning on October 27, 2009, Walt Disney World will begin taking dining reservations 180 days in advance (call 407-WDW-DINE or book online. For a March vacation, you should be able to make your Advanced Dining Reservations right on October 27. Just beware, as you and everyone’s Aunt Sue will be calling that day.

Q. I’m SO excited! We just booked a Christmas visit to Disney World. Could you tell me if the room will be decorated for the holidays? We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Or do you have to stay at a Deluxe to get decorated rooms? Thanks! (Submitted by Julie)

A. Christmas at Walt Disney World may be one of the most magical times to visit. Please try to squeeze in a visit to the Grand Floridian resort; it is truly amazing over the holidays! While nearly every resort and, of course, the theme parks, will be dressed in its absolute holiday best, none of the resort rooms, value through deluxe, are decorated. You do have the option of ordering a decorated Christmas tree through www.disneyflorist.com that you can keep. However, the cost of these trees is quite high (often several hundred dollars). Some guests opt to purchase an inexpensive tree that is checked as a piece of luggage that is then used to decorate their rooms. Ornaments can also be brought along (or even sent in advance to the resort) or could be purchased down at WDW since several stores specialize in just holiday decorations.
