• Disney has announced details of the new 2010 Wine and Dine Marathon Weekend which debut Oct. 1-2 in 2010. Runners participating in Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon will have exclusive access to an “after-hours” Epcot International Food & Wine Festival included with their race entry. Spectators will be able to purchase a specially priced event ticket that will allow them access into the exclusive after-hours “Finish Line” party to see their runner finish the race and celebrate with them at the festival. • As part of the 2010 Night of Joy, the Disney Gospel Choir Fest will take place at Epcot at the American Gardens Theatre on Saturday, September 11. For more details, visit our Night of Joy page at:
• Blizzard Beach refurbishment originally slated to be completed on March 21 has been delayed. The unseasonably cold winter in Central Florida slowed some of the engineering and construction work on projects during the Blizzard Beach refurbishment. The new re-open date is March 24. The Teamboat Springs attraction will reopen a few weeks later. New menu offerings will be available when the park reopens at at Lottawatta Lodge, including several healthy options and greater variety. Look for a new chopped salad and a chicken wrap on the children’s menu. Also introduced will be a turkey, salami and ham sandwich on ciabatta bread at Lottawatta Lodge, and at the Warming Hut, and BBQ options that include a rib basket and a pulled pork basket.
• For a limited time, you can enjoy more vacation for less at the Swan and Dolphin Resorts. Rates are from $149 per night and available for arrivals all days of the week. Book by March 30 for stays March 18 – May 31, 2010. For more details, visit our Current Code page:

THOSE OTHER THEME PARKS
• Universal Orlando will reveal details about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, including it’s grand opening date on March 25th, according to a Universal spokesman. The Orlando Sentinel is also reporting that more details about Forbidden Journey, the “dark” ride that’s built into the Hogwarts Castle will also be forthcoming at that time. Included in a news release from Universal Orlando is footage of what appears to be video exclusive to the attraction which is located at Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure. Watch it on Orlando Attraction Magazine’s web site, along with other photo updates.
• Orlando Attractions Magazine has a photo and video update on the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
• Watch a time-lapse video of the construction of Toy Story Playland at Disneyland Paris.
• Orlando Theme Park blog has a photo update of Universal Studios Florida.
• Tokyo DisneySea has announced that they will be adding Jasmine’s Flying Carpets in 2011.
