• Star Wars Weekend’s 2010 celebrity schedule has been announce. For scheduled appearances, consult our Star Wars Weekends page:
• Seasonal prices will go in affect at select WDW restaurants on March 28 – April 10, 2010 and again on April 18 – April 24, 2010. Visit our Seasonal Dining info page to see what restaurants will be effected.
• Virgin American will begin flying to Orlando this summer on August 19th. The airline offers free in-flight wifi. The new flights bound for Orlando International Airport (MCO) will originate from LAX and SFO, utilizing six new aircraft.
• Disney is debuting a new Muppets hand-painted ink and paint cel on Saturday at Animation Gallery at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Wocka Wocka Room is exclusive to Walt Disney World Resort. Artist Costa Alavezos will be there to sign the cels and you can meet the Ink and Paint Artists too. For more information or to pre-order the cel, click below.
• When you dine at a Walt Disney World Quick Service restaurant from now until April 17th, you will receive a coupon for 20% off at participating WDW merchandise locations. The coupon must be used between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m at the following stores: The Emporium or Mickey’s Star Traders at Magic Kingdom; Mouse Gear at Epcot; Mickey’s of Hollywood and Keystone Clothiers at Disney’s Hollywood Studios; Island Mercantile at Disney’s Animal Kingdom; and World of Disney Store at Downtown Disney. • The Orange County Register takes a look at what’s new at the Disneyland Resort. This week’s trip report highlights new ‘it’s a small world’ signage, a peek at Disneyland Hotel construction, the continuing progress on California Adventure’s $1 billion expansion project and more.
• The OCR also has additional info on the new Toy Story parking lot set to open Friday. Click on the interactive map for location on this and other available parking.

Now, a time-share condominium developer is giving up on its hope of building residential units on top of the garage at the Anaheim GardenWalk outdoor mall.

• A Georgia man was running and listening to his iPod on the beach on Hilton Head Island when he was struck and killed by an airplane that made an emergency landing Monday near Palmetto Dunes. Note: this occurred in very close proximity to Disney’s Hilton Head Resort.
• Loews Hotels and Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando are planning spectacular Easter Sunday brunches, including entertainment by the Easter bunny, Universal characters and more.
• In anticipation of the 2011 opening of Disney’s Aulani resort and timeshare, Disney Vacation Club has begun searching for Sales Guides to staff the Hawai’i based sales offices. For more info, visit the DVC News link below.
• The Disney and More blog is starting a series of articles on the Disneyland Paris that never was. This is a new version of the one previously released someyears ago, with new and better scans and some surprises.

• Word is that the Tron art monorail, being dubbed the “Tron-o-rail,” will make it’s debut Friday, March 19, on the Epcot line.

• Jim Hill Media previewed Toy Story 3, and he is willing to tell us: “For starters, you should bring Kleenex. Lots & lots of Kleenex. Because I can guarantee you that you’re going to spend a good portion of the last 30 minutes of this film in tears.”
• The battle for 3-D movie screens is heating up with ”How to Train Your Dragon” set to open on March 26, and “Alice” making movie screens scarce. Paramount Pictures is telling theaters that if they don’t show the upcoming DreamWorks-produced “Dragon,” on a 3-D screen, then it will withhold from the theater a 2-D version of the movie to play instead. Meanwhile, Warner Bros. is aggressively lobbying them to forego “Dragon” in order to book “Clash of the Titans”, also in 3-D and set to open next week.
• Stitch Kingdom has news about KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep, coming exclusively to the PlayStation®Portable system, the game is a prequel that reveals the untold origins of the popular KINGDOM HEARTS franchise.
• Chip and Co. has a behind the scenes look at “The Last Song,” a movie staring Miley Cyrus, Greg Kinnear and Liam Hemsworth.
