• June 16 to 20, the inaugural running of the “Mickyard” will be held at he ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The event will feature USAC .25 Midget drivers ranging in age from 5-17 years old. For more info, visit:
• Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom on March 10 will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of frog-related activities and find out how they can help amphibians, which are facing an extinction crisis. Conservation Station at Rafiki’s Planet Watch will be hopping with fun and educational activities from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Young Guests and their families can play games that teach them about a frog’s life cycle and adaptations, listen to frog calls, and enter jumping contests to see if they can leap as far as a frog can. • There is still a lot of questions as to whether Mickey and Minnie’s house will be demolished as part of the Fantasyland expansion. While some feel that the questions was answered at the D23 event last week at Walt Disney World with a definite “no,” other’s in attendance aren’t so sure. • Orlando Attractions Magazine takes a look at the new Holiday Inn that opened recently in the Downtown Disney area.
• Disney Parks has released another one of those cool time-lapse videos. This time it’s preparations for the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. See it on our Flower and Garden Festival page.

• WDW News Today has some new Fantasyland expansion concept art.
• Chef Dee Foundoukis and Chef George Paterakis, Walt Disney World chefs from Kouzzina by Cat Coraon Disney’s BoardWalk. They’ll be in the White House kitchen on Tuesday along with celebrity chef Cat Cora to cook for Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou, in Washington to meet with the President. Among the dishes to be served is Fishermen’s Stew – the very same stew that you can taste at Kouzzina by Cat Cora. Also on the menu are Kouzzina’s loukoumades, those addictive Greek donuts served hot and drizzled with honey.
• Robert Niles of Theme Park Insider shares a few of his perfect theme park moments for Walt Disney World and Disneyland attractions.
• Here’s a really nice video of Disney’s Princess Half Marathon 2010. They make it look so easy and fun.
• Orlando Parks News has posted lots of photos of Animal Kingdom, plus a video of Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade.

DISNEYLAND NEWS
• When the new Toy Story film comes out on June 18th, there will be a surprise waiting for guests to Disney’s California Adventure park. Blue Sky Disney blog has the scoop on all new games to play at Toy Story Midway Mania. The article also hints at “more Toy Story surprises for fans later this year that are still under wraps.” Rush right over and read the article.
• GeekDad thinks Disneyland is a great destination for all generations and gives his recommendations for favorite rides and attractions.
• Disney Parks Blog tells you what to do at Disneyland when it’s raining. Plus see a video of a rain-soaked park.
• March 11 is a big day. The refurbishment is complete on Matterhorn Bobsleds, while the painting work on Toontown’s facade also comes to a close.
• Disney has not said how long “Captain EO” will stay at Disneyland, but it will be based on the attractions popularity. According to the Orange County Register: “On Monday, MousePlanet posted a picture on Twitter showing that Disney had removed a wait time board and ropes for extended lines outside the Tomorrowland theater.” AND “Kelly Johns, creator of MouseWait, an iPhone app that tracks Disneyland wait times, said most guests have walked right in the theater, except for Sunday when crowds were heavy.”
• DIS Unplugged discusses “A Tale of Two Mexican Restaurants,” DCA’s Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill and Disneyland’s Rancho Del Zocalo.
• March 12-13 and 16-19, DJs are playing mix of hits from the 70s through today at the Atlantic Dance Club on the Boardwalk. Times are from 9 p.m.-2 a.m, 21 & over. No Cover.
• Magical Disney Cruise Line rates are available for Florida Residents and Military until 8/14/10.

• Reminder: WESH2′s Ellen DeGeneres 2010 Sweepstakes is now open and ends on March 21, 2010, at 5 p.m. ET. Prizes consist of tickets to the March 28 live taping of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” at Universal Orlando and park admission tickets. One grand prize winner will win a 3-night on-site vacation package at Loews Royal Pacific Resort. The shows will air on April 1 and 2.
• PETA organizers plan to fly a plane over SeaWorld on Tuesday morning in protest. Members of the animal rights group sent out a press release Monday that said “SeaWorld parkgoers will soon receive a message that reads “SeaWorld: Let Whales and Dolphins Out of Prison.”
• Universal Studios Singapore is not open yet, but during a preview, Memoirs of Food blog reviews the eats.
• Oscar winning filmmakers of “The Cove” call for an end to SeaWorld Shows.
• It’s being reported coupon code McDonalds2010 is being displayed in Florida McDonalds restaurants and gives $10 off admission at the gate to SeaWorld. I have no info as to whether this actually works or not.
• Disneyland Paris fans will want to stop by the Disney and More blog for all of the photos and videos of the “New Generation Festival”.

• Walt Disney Co., which blocked some viewers from the first 13 minutes of the Oscars last night amid a dispute with Cablevision Systems Corp., may be about to do it again with bigger cable operators, according to analyst.
• DVD Town reviews the Princess and the Frog on Blu-ray.
• Posted to Disney’s PhotoPass Facebook Page: We’ve launched 2 new photo borders for Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival. Be sure to get your picture taken at Epcot by a Disney’s PhotoPass photographer during the festival to unlock them! Visit the link below for a sample!
• Reminder: The annual meeting of shareholders of The Walt Disney Company, including remarks by management regarding the Company, will be available live via audio webcast at

• Of late, Disney has been doing more to appeal to boys, both in the parks and in merchandising. The LA Times tells how they have kept the goal in mind when deciding how to market Rapunzel (Tangled).
• Here is a much cleaner Tron Legacy trailer than the bootleg copy posted the other day.
• The first of Lewis Carroll’s words ever heard on a soundtrack were uttered in New Jersey. NJ.com has background on the first speaking version of Alice in Wonderland with an awesome black and white clip of the 1931 version. It’s really worth a few minutes to watch it.
• Most of us are familiar with Bartlett-Sloan’s Upcoming Disney TV postings, but for a quick reference, bookmark his site.
• The Daily Disney has info on Disney Live! Rockin’ Road Show, which will be making a stop at the University of Central Florida Arena next week. Plus, it tells how you could win a 4-pack of tickets.
